Brain Games - 10 Minute: Sudoku Puzzles

This book was perfect for me. Quick and easy to do while waiting for work at my job. Love the spiral binder and large print - one puzzle per page! Perfect 👌

Sometimes I want a challenge, sometimes I just want to relax. In recent years it's been more of the latter, so I've been accumulating a collection of Brain Games books with the first third worked, some of the second section, and a few of the hard ones. I jumped at this one and have been so pleased that I'm reordering it. (The nice thing about Sudoku, unlike crosswords, is that i'm not likely to remember a puzzle from one month to the next, not the first repeat anyway.)

I love the "10 Minute" version of these.All the fun with none of the frustration. I can take a break from whatever I'm doing and spend 15-20 minutes doing what others can do in 10...which just means that I get to have more fun.I monitor these and buy the newest version when they come out.

I love the spiral binder. I love the large full page puzzles. They may list as 10 minute puzzles making them seem to be easy but I'm finding some of them to be quite challenging. I strongly recommend

I think of really easy puzzles as ones that just fall together-where you don't even have to write and numbers in the boxes w/ pencil. They're fun and relaxing in their own right. These puzzles require ...hmmm...maybe a dozen boxes to have penciled in temporary numbers in order to work the puzzles. There is some variation on the difficulty, but I'd say they're easy to intermediate levels. The spiral binding is especially nice and the print is comfortably large.

Not all Sudoku books are created equal. I love this book but all of these puzzles can not be completed in 10 minutes. This still is a great book.I have been solving these puzzles for many years and can solve the really challenging ones without cheating. I just don't want to work that hard. I want a challenge that I can concentrate on and relax.What I love most about this book is all of the numbers that are given for each puzzle are placed in very interesting symmetrical patterns.I have bought several of this same book because my challenge to myself is to work each puzzle by entering my answers in ink. Of course I get in a hurry and make mistakes, hence my purchase of multiple copies.I would not call this a beginner book. If you are just starting on the Sudoku journey, I would suggest you get a beginner book and move up to this one. You will be rewarded with a challenge and a great feeling of satisfaction at what you can learn from these puzzles.

I love these books. They are easy to see, easy to hold if sitting in a reclined position. And the puzzles give just enough of a challenge to keep one interested. I just wish we had even more of them to choose from. They sure beat most late night TV!!!

The paper weight allows erasing, and the ring binder allows the book to lie flat. This is my second purchase of this style. Puzzles graded by difficulty and seem well done. In two full books I found only one puzzle with an error.
