Easy Draw, Comfortable Carry, Difficult Re-holster
Overview: This is a great inexpensive IWB carry holster. It was my first IWB holster and I carry an M&P 9c with an extended grip. I wore it at a 4 o'clock right hand position. I say wore because I am now carrying on my left side as I have found it to be my more dominant/accurate draw side. I did use it as an OWB range practice holster while I was awaiting a different IWB left handed holster. Even as an OWB holster the clip held fairly well to my belt.Pro: This holster is comfortable and provides good concealment. It is very stable when worn with a proper fitting belt/clothing (I stress a tight fitting belt to assure you don't draw both gun and holster, but that goes for any IWB holster with a clip instead of full belt loops). Draws quickly and doesn't snag, clip holds strong when clipped to a proper belt. Provides good trigger protection as my M&P does not have a magazine safety or slide safety.Cons: My only complaint thus far has been the difficulty re-holstering the gun. The leather is good quality but the form collapses after drawing from a tight belt, thus making it difficult to re-holster without assisting the holster to re-form properly to the gun. I originally practiced re-holstering with a dry weapon and noticed that without help, the holster would apply pressure to the slide and at times even eject a cartridge and chamber the next round. Keep in mind I prefer to wear my belt tighter when I carry to prevent drawing with the holster still attached and also since I am a slimmer guy, it keeps the gun closer to me for better concealment so this may be one of the reasons I experience this issue. Just note you will not be able to quickly re-holster your weapon after use.Neutral: One minor thing I should mention, which should be considered obvious with such a universal holster, is you need to break it in! When I first started with this holster it was very stiff and drawing my pistol resulted in snags and pistol/holster drawing combos, but as I broke it in and the leather formed to my M&P it became extremely smooth and the end result was a perfect draw nearly every time leaving the holster clipped securely to my belt. Conclusion: This holster is made for concealed carry meaning the main focus will be drawing your weapon as quickly as possible, should a threat arise. For this purpose it works great. Practice with it and it will provide a very stable draw while maintaining a tight concealed fit but don't expect to re-holster (at least not easily).

Smart option
Like all the other Gould and Goodrich products I own, this is a simple, well made, durable leather product. The leather is thick enough to do its job, but the holster conceals pretty well. There's a slight buldge with a t-shirt, but I still use it that way, and with anything more your weapon is hidden. I'm using this with a USP Compact in .40 (same size as the 9mm and .357, but thinner than the .45). It fits perfectly and snuggly, with an easy, natural draw. It has no real retention, but it feels fine to me.The steel clip on the back is sharp and I've cut my thumb on it. I've learned how to hold it safely, but be careful about that. The clip is very sturdy and holds onto my belt. It would also work without a belt, though it would be a hassle to get it around pants because it's tight and would clinch on them as it went around them.I wear it at the 5'oclock position and can drive a car comfortably, though drawing it from a car's seat would be an interesting experience.I have more success with holsters with a reinforced belt. Aker makes a great one. You can use this with a normal belt, but the weight won't be equally supported and it won't be as comfortable after several hours. The stitching is solid throughout and consistent.. The leather finish is a bit crude... not as nice as a Gould product meant for a duty belt. It's also going to last a long time. Like I said, it's kinda simple, but very sturdy.I have a lot of holsters and picked this one because I can put the holster on quickly and conceal carry pretty comfortably. It's less comfortable than a supertuck (large flap of leather between all the pistol and your body), but can be placed on almost as easily as a paddle holster. It's also inexpensive and a good quality. It's a good compromise.

Almost Perfect
I have owned this holster for some time now and I have mixed opinions on it. Good quality leather workmanship (good finish, near perfect stitching, good color tone, very well molded, smooth edges). Two things I don't like about it are the metal clip and the low profile. The metal clip stretched somewhat easily. If you notice the bottom of the clip curves a bit outward. While this makes it easier to slide onto a belt, it also makes it easier to catch onto seat belt buckles, arm rests on chairs and other things when you sit down. Once this metal clip loses its tightness it will not secure to a belt as well. This means that when you pull out your gun it pulls out with the entire holster at the same time; the metal clip won't hold on to the belt. A perfect solution to this would be to replace the metal clip with a "J" shaped hard polymer type clip. That way when you pull your gun out of the holster the "J" clip will hook the holster to the bottom of your belt. Also, the low profile is not very comfortable as the rear part of your slide is in constant contact with your skin. It would be great if they would have made the leather inside part a bit higher (on the side that touches your skin) so your slide wouldn't have to rub against your body as much.

Really good holster, a bit to long for P2000SK - Easy fix
I got this holster delivered the same day, which was awesome. I bought it for my carry H&K P2000SK. As another review put it, for the P2000SK the gun goes in all the way, however the leather extends about 3/4" beyond the muzzle. It was probably modeled for one of the longer pistols such as the USP Compact. It isn't a total deal breaker, however, since I'm carrying a sub-compact pistol, the extra 3/4" of stiff leather effectively increases the size of your carry system which may affect conceal-ability. However, it was an easy fix. In about 2 minutes I trimmed the excess leather with an exacto knife using the muzzle as my guide. Now it fits like a glove! Its very comfortable. The leather is stiff so it doesn't collapse in your waist band after drawing the pistol. This makes it easy to re-holster. I only have it a 4 because I had to trim it for my weapon.

Good value holster.
Overall a decent holster given the price. It’s a bit bulk but I like that it has a metal clip. It’s comfortable to wear after getting used to it over a few days. I wish it had a retention strap and came up higher over the trigger guard (the trigger sits below the holster).
