Kinkajou Deluxe Kit-Canadian

I previously had the Generation Green G2 bottle cutter. I had this perfect idea for a friend to turn his favorite etched beer bottles into cups. Needless to say out of the 8 bottles I had, I only got 1 usable cup, and even that was a poor cup.I bought this Kinkajou back in September for my birthday and only just got to using it today (time constraints with work and being a college student). I can however say this is the BEST choice I ever made! It works perfectly and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It's no more hard work trying to get the perfect straight line, the separation rings make it even easier to separate the bottle ends without injury to yourself or the bottle.In my trial with 6 bottles I had one that didn't quite crack right but it's very small and will more than likely sand down with no problems. Aside from that the only other issue is that I hadn't tightened the Kinkajou tight enough on one bottle and accidentally hit it so the score line didn't match up.So out of 6 test bottles, only that last one wouldn't work out and that was MY fault and not that of the product. This thing is amazing!This thing is pretty fool proof and comes with well written directions as well. This deluxe kit was even more amazing because it came with a nice package of sandpaper to finish your glasses off nicely!Never dealing with any other bottle cutter again!

Watch the videos on-line first.Fairly easy to use.Takes practice to not shift the device or bottle to make a clean marker line.Should not take more than 2 rounds of hot/cold water for the glass to “POP”.

The bottle cutter itself is much larger than I expected! It's a beast! And that I suppose that is a good thing. I don't frankly think the "finishing kit" is worth the extra money ($20 +) - it seems to be just sandpaper and simple hand held nibbler tool. I'd like to see the diamond head drill bits included. All said, Bottle Cutting Inc were simply brilliant about re-sending my order and helping to meet my tight delivery timeline. Polite, helpful and reasonable - a pleasure to buy from.

I'm trying to get used to it. Cuts great, but trying to figure out the best way to keep the cuts straight. The cutter itself is way to adjust, exactly how described and works. Only reason for 4 stars is that it will take a few bottles to get it to where my cuts are straight and work, even though the description makes it sound like you will be cutting like a pro when you get it. I will re-review/update at a later date.

The product is good. I was very happy to receive an extra added bonus of the shaping kit to sand the bottle edges.! What a great surprise. You really do need to practice with all types of bottles. You will not get it right the first time. Make sure you have practice bottles to practice on.

Easy to use. Directions are great for a beginner. Extras in the delux package (sand paper, etc) are worth it. One complaint is slipping while turning for the score. Sometimes makes an uneven cut. But with more practice you can watch for the signs of slippage. And I don't use the rubber bands to separate by pouring the water. I just plung in hot/ice water.

Works as advertised! They have easy to follow instructions and the videos on their website take you through each part of the process. I would highly recommend watching these videos as you go along to get a feel for how everything works. I would recommend also purchasing a sanding block (only a couple dollars at a hardware store) as this can be especially helpful if you happen to make a less than perfect cut and want to level off your cut surface. Would definitely recommend as a quick and easy way to start some fun projects!

Arrived on time and was exactly as the videos I had watched on YouTube when I was looking for a bottle cutter. I have only used it once so far and it will take some practice but it can totally be achieved with this product. Im very pleased.
