the replacement of the batteries can be very tedious. But
As mentioned before, the replacement of the batteries can be very tedious. But, The battery life hasn't been a problem for me, it's not that much of a battery drainer which is the better feature of this device. The worst of the device is within it's software(past track) or the online portal(LAS). Even after deleting past route files it'll still show up on the new route file, and the time is always out of range by many hours(LAS portal site). The(Past Track) downloadable software is nice since you don't need to log-in, but the overlapping routes make it impossible to read the route. Overall it works decently, but requires A LOT of time and effort to understand routes if used multiple times. Good device but would prefer a different battery changing option and DEFINITELY improved software. Happy to answer any questions for other interested buyers.

Good product, I wish the instructions were better
Good product. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that better instructions are needed. Thought I might have to return this as several computers could not find the device but it turned out that I was using weak batteries (had a red light showing but did not know how to interpret what red indicated. When you load the batteries, you should get a green LED showing (red appears to be a no-go). I think mine was still tracking with red but it was not found by the computer link for reporting the tracks. when you are moving and the device is tracking, you get a second flashing green light. When you stop for a while, the flashing LED goes out (power save mode I suppose). After you download the software and pull the tracks to the computer, make sure you are still getting a green LED. If the software can't find the device, try changing the batteries. Downloading the tracks is fairly quick, and you can disconnect the tracker afterwards as the data will now be on the computer. The tracks will show the vehicle real-time or quickly step through the route-showing time, speed, etc. on a map overlay. You are supposed to have the magnet side facing down and preferably only glass or plastic between it and GPS satellites but I tried mine facing down in a steel bodied trunk (should be worst case) and it worked! The receiver must be very sensitive. Mounted in the trunk or possibly under the hood, this should be great for keeping up with where the kids go and how fast they are driving which is what I wanted in the first place. After tracking myself for a full day and driving about an hour to an hour and a half, the batteries voltage dropped from about 1.55 volts down to about 1.30 volts. Based on that, I suspect I won't get more than a few days tracking on a set but we shall see. By the way, Tech Support was very available and excellent. I'd take the rating up to 4.5 if I could based on that.

Good and bad, but great for basic info.
Battery life was barely two weeks of tracking. There were some cool factors, the map has plenty of options. There are also stops with great info but addresses were not complete on all stops. Also, there was some skipping after the first week (while following the car symbol on its track), one skip was an entire day. The pauses of leaving the car running and getting out to check the mail was not noted as a stop. I liked the option of following along, and the running time and mph was interesting. One bad thing that was really annoying was when there were multiple stops at the same location, the red dots would show the same info as each other and not the separate info for each stop. Overall, it's better than nothing, and cool to watch the car. I really appreciate not having to pay a monthly fee.

not completely accurate but can give a general idea of where a car has been. Some days there was no data available at all...not sure if it's the weather interfering or what. Usually would say the car was parked at my neighbors house instead of mine. Also, some days it showed a vehicle driving across large bodies of water or through a forest that has no roads. Again, not accurate.

Gets the job done
Wonderful. A little hard to get used to the software that you have to use to be able to see the route your fracker has taken. Magnet is very strong and keep it in place. Only down side I have it the flashing light it make the tracker visible at night depending where it's located on car.

This does work
The instructions on line did not match this unit which would it made it easier to figure out how to get the reports I wanted but all in all it really does work. I was able to see when stops that were made and how much time it took to get from one place to the other. It does go through batteries rather fast, about 2 a week. I still would recommend it.

GPS Tracker
I like this product. It does what I need it to do, which is to track a vehicle's comings and goings. I would have liked it to have more detailed instructions for technology illiterate people like myself. So it takes a really long time for me to figure out how to get the results from the tracker. I still haven't figured out how to get rid of results that I have already viewed. I found that it doesn't always give an accurate address, but it's close enough that you can still get what you need from it. Overall, I like it. I get what I need from it. It was delivered in a matter of days. I would recommend it to others.

seems like I had to change the batteries every 3-4 days
very short battery life, seems like I had to change the batteries every 3-4 days. I placed it in a vehicle in hopes to check in 7 days, it was dead, I got no tracking history aside from the testing trip.
