Toyota Genuine Parts 87139-YZZ08 Cabin Air Filter

I Ordered this Cabin Air Filter for a Toyota RAV4, the part number that came was 87139-YZZ20 which I believe is an updated part number to 87139-YZZ08. The filter that came appeared to be an exact Toyota OEM filter and matched the old one being replaced. The install is fairly easy to do and can be done by most car owners. Here are some photos and steps to do the install.Tools needed: NoneHow to Install (pictures show):1. Open glove box2. On the right side remove the small shock absorber by squeezing the plastic tips together to pop shock absorber off.3. Make sure glove box is empty and push in a little on each side of the glove box near the plastic lips that keep it from falling out of the dash. Then pull glove box down past dash.4. Remove the cabin air filter cover by pushing the plastic clip on the right in and then pull cover out.5. Remove the old filter and replace with new filter paying attention to the label on which side goes up. The filter does stick out a little and this is fine.6. Replace the cover by putting the left end into the hole and pushing the right side closed till the plastic clip, clips.7. Reverse steps to put back together.

Had to be replaced with a real one.

Pop off the top plastic cover.Open the plastic filter slot. Take out the old filter, and put in the new one. Put the parts back DONE!Took less than 5min and is a perfect fit for my Scion TC.

Matching tool show that this is the right part for 2016 Prius Touring v3. It’s not. Does not fit.Gave it 5 point because. Otho got is wrong with it. Just listed incorrectly by Amazon

it was a little difficult to install, but I did it all bye myself. I watched YouTube to learn how to install and saved money bye doing it myself.

The part was easy to install (after watching a youtube video). Probably saved $50 from what the dealer wanted to charge. It took only 5 minutes to do myself. This filter seemed a little flimsier than the original OEM filter, so we will see how long it lasts. The original filter was made in USA, this filter was made in Korea. It seemed more like a third party part than an genuine part. The next time, I will try either to find a true OEM part or possibly try a Fram filter.

Product as described. Works for Gen 3 Prius. Note this is not the factory installed cabin filter that comes with the new car but IS the part number recommended by Toyota for replacement cabin air filters. Very obvious the filters are different. No idea why the recommended part number for replacement would be different than the one that car original comes with. Recommend conducting search on Toyota website to confirm correct cabin air filter part number for your Toyota vehicle model and year.

Took out old Cabin Air Filter from my car myself and determined the filter number was 87139-YZZ08. Seached on amazon and order the same. Packing was good and filter arrived in good shape.Insertion Instructions: Once u insert the filter in your car, you should be able to read UP and upward arrow and 87139-YZZ08, that means you have inserted it right!If you can't see these or if you see them inverted, that means u have wrongly inserted. Hope it helps!

The air filter did come in a OEM Toyota filter box. The filter box itself, however, was for a different model number. The model number printed on the filter itself did match the one I ordered. When compared to one I got from a local dealership, the printing itself looks different.

Looks and feels as good as the one I got before from Toyota dillership parts. Only way cheaper:)
