CS918S Allwinner A31 Quad Core Android 4.2.2 OS Mini TV BOX 2G/16G BT RJ45 5.0MP Camera and MIC External WIFI Antenna - Black

I was looking for a good android tv box and this cs918s seemed the best. the reviews it had convinced me to get it. once i got it, boom! doesnt work! first of all the bluetooth on this box is very unstable. it took me a while just to connect a controller via bloutooth. once it finaly did, it would disconnect every 5 seconds. connect then disconect, it was very unstable. tried it with a ps4 controller directly to a usb port, wouldnt work either. well thats that. camera works fine.. but it doesnt work for some games made specifically for this box. the apps indicate that trial time ended when i hadn't even started it. And the BOX itself freezes every 10 min or so. whatever app i was using either internet or game wise, it would simply just freeze. i had to forcestop everything and i had to restart the box a couple times because it simply wouldnt respond. so much for quad-core.I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. if your looking for a good android box, you cant go wrong with mx2. i bought this one because the fact that it had quad-core, bluetooth and could decode 4k videos seemed pretty awesome. never again.

This device looks great on paper. A quad core processor, decent amount of memory and camera and bluetooth built in. But the firmware was a letdown. It does a ok job on everything and nothing really good. The processor handles all kinds of video effortlessly but the video quality was never quite like HD. Likewise the camera works fine for skype or hangouts if the lighting is bright and you are at a certain distance from the camera. But if you move away or closer or in moderate lighting the quality drops. The audio was good though. I returned it and went with a setup with matricom MX2, logitech 525 camera and a airmouuse/keyboard combo remote. Much happier with it. The final price was about double this but worth it.

I loved the first generationof these electronic devices allowing me to use my TV like a large Android tablet. However, the first generation devices fill up fast and slow down when you add apps. So, I went looking for one with more RAM and a larger flash drive. I tried 3 devices with 2g RAM and 16g Flash before I settled on this one. The one thing that I found (and this took me a while to figure out), if he system does not support location files so that you can add a gps antenna, there are a lot of apps that are NOT compatible with these - especially financial and banking apps. So my advice if you want to do you baking and financial stuff ... or if you have journaling apps that required gps ... check the type of files the device supports or make sure they have gps onboard.

Besides video glitching once in awhile, video playback was not impressive at all. I could never get my nexus 7 to cast to it. Plex stuttered, as well as other streaming media. Yes it was on wireless. But my ps4 streams video just fine on wireless. I replaced this with an Amazon fire, which also has no problem streaming video over the same network. Pretty much this is garbage.

Control remote need improve and consumes a lot of battery.

after 3 months no power on ...dead !!! 1 month warranty and no replace :((((
