Great range bag for me
I was a bit worried that for relatively little money I would get a bag the would not be able to maintain its structure and shape when loaded down with hardware and accessories, but this bag performs very well. Read other reviews for descriptions of the pockets - here I'll give you my observations. The brown color has a green tint to it - not what you would call pretty. I like it, and would order the same again. The clips to attach the shoulder strap are the only things that look cheap. However, they are quite functional and I do not expect them to break. Everything else looks rugged and durable to me. The zippers are easy to use. I loaded it down with about 40 or so pounds of gear, and when I picked it up it maintained its shape - no sagging in the middle. I got two of the Vism pistol pouch inserts, and that was a good buy. They fit perfectly and serve their purpose well.Update - I've been using this bag for over 3 months, and have no complaints. All in all, it is an excellent value - looks good and works well, and I now have two of these bags. All I need to add are a couple of American flag Velcro patches.Another update - 9 months of use and I love this bag. Zero problems. Typically carry 4 or 5 pistols in it, with gear, plenty of room, plenty of performance.Yet another update - two years and the bag is getting a bit dirty but nothing has broken or has any significant wear. I have two of these and do not need any others - no reason to get anything else. I like the range bag inserts, but not the little molle bags - don't really need them.

This is my first range bag and I really like it.
This bag has lots of room. I can carry all the items pictured with room left over for twice the number of pistol mags and more ammo in main compartment. I'm not even using one of the side pockets or the ammo pouch. This bag can get heavy real quick because of all the room you will be tempted to take advantage of. I've used it twice since I got it about 3 weeks ago, works good as rifle rest as well. If you are considering a range bag, give this one a hard look.Update: I’ve had this bag for over 1.5 years and is holding up very well from regular use (no rips or tears). I no longer carry ammo in the bag as I’ve replaced the space with a rifle rest and some other range essentials. My opinion stills holds - this is a really good bag at a great price.

This is a very nice bag. I previously ordered the 5
This is a very nice bag. I previously ordered the 5.11 Tactical bag that many reviewers noted was "very big", and it was. In fact, way too big. While it had pockets for 4 guns, it was just a very wide bag and hard to carry, banging against my leg. This smaller bag still has plenty of room for 4 guns, 2 sets of eyes and ears lots of ammo, tools and targets (in an expanding file folder).A few reasons for only 4 stars:1. There are a couple of stitched seams that you can see light through. I'm concerned that these might come loose at some point.2. The end pocket with the elastic cord doesn't seem very useful. I'd rather see another zipper pocket.3. The spent case bag that came with it didn't have a draw string. Must be an oversight.4. There aren't may attachment points on the inside or outside of the bag. Maybe some velcro or molle would be nice.

Great range bag.
Best one I've seen. I compared other offerings on Amazon, Brownells and Midway. Big enough for 2 large frame handguns in cases or rugs. Center compartment can be locked with a luggage zipper lock. The side compartments can't be locked. One side compartment has molle straps on the outside (possible attachment of an IFAK?). Inside of side pockets have elastic sewn in good for retaining magazines, etc. Water bottle can fit end compartment and be held in place with velcro strap. Comes with a brass collection bag that can snap to D ring on bag. Collection bag also has draw string closure. No logos on bag advertising there's a gun inside. Dark color plays down tactical look. With a water bottle sticking out it looks like a normal work out bag. Screams "steal me and you'll get a pair of dirty socks, a used towel, and a jock strap." Love it.

You'll love this bag!!
I checked out a lot of reviews prior the purchasing this range bag & I'm glad I did. This bag has everything I need. Lots of large & small elastic straps to hold all my large & small stuff. All my cleaning supplies fit in the bag. All my extra magazines are neatly secured with more elastic straps. Padded compartments for my pistols & holsters. A small bag for picking up my brass, if I can get to it first. Even, a spot to store my water bottle!! It comes with Velcro backing on the top & one side, to attach my name & unit. So, myself & others know which bag is theirs. Everything in one neat organized place. I love it & you will too!!

Highly recommend bag!
Finally was able to get my gear loaded and used it to go to the range, the bag is great. It has more space than I probably need and I love it. Guess I just need more to take to the range now. Overall its a great bag and held up to a lot of weight with all the ammo and mags and pistols as well as range gear. Highly recommended.

Super good value on a nice bag.
This is a very nice range bag with one caveat. Don't over load it with gear that weighs too much. I did that on my last two, and it tends to make the stitching come apart at critical spots. This time, I'm going to limit the amount of gear I place in the bag. For the money, you simply can't go wrong. Just don't overload it and it'll last a good long time.

LOOKING FOR A RANGE BAG? NCSTAR HAS ONE FOR LESS MONEY...
New Century Star makes very good quality, affordable accessories for gun owners - from mission specific bags to hardware. Living on a fixed retirement income, I have used NCStar as my first accessory choice for over a decade, and have not yet been disappointed. This range bag is no exception - it provides an excellent serviceable-quality bag for significantly less money than the "big names"... who probably have their accessories made by NSStar or similar companies.
