People argue about diffusers, why do I need one? Why this model over that?Even the best flashes send the light from one direction, meaning it will create shadows. One way of controlling nasty shadows is to bounce the flash off the wall oo ceiling. That why you see flashes like that, bouncing the light makes it hit the subject from more than one direction, lessening shadows and the 'harshness' of the light. Diffusers try to do the same thing, to make the light a bit more 'spread out' and less 'harsh' meaning it does turn the person face into a goant overexposed blotch.If you are buying the Canon 600EX, you probably know all of this. If you need a diffuser get this, but you should also do some with/without tests, as I find there are many places where *not* using a diffuser is better than using one. Your mileage may vary. With photography its all about experimentation.Cheap and Good diffuser.

Fit my Canon 600 Speedlight just as tightly as it should. Works as described. Absolutely pleased. Best part it can be left on the speedlight when put into the speedlight's case.

I was using this for fill flash outside under heavy tree shade mid day. I didn't find a significant difference between using this diffuser or taking it off. Maybe it works better indoors. It's worth having in my bag of tools for the price paid but don't expect a huge benefit.

Very compact (compared to sto-fen) and will fit in the case that comes with the flash. Does it come in gold / amber, too?

This unit fit my Speedlite 600 perfectly. It diffuses evenly, and stays attached.The plastic is well molded, without sharp or rough edges.Exactly what I was looking for.

I haven't used it much but It does diffuse, and it fits the flash well, too. It's good to have in the bag.
