Läkerol Sugarfree Pastilles 5-Flavor Variety: Two 0.8 oz Packages Each in a BlackTie Box (10 Items Total)

Love Swedish salt licorice and this is the best selection out there. Small pastilles in a small package fits perfectly in a pocket. The currant and cactus flavors are great, but the salty is the best.

These are pretty good tasting. I like having the variety. I bought this assortment because I knew I would like 5 of the 6 flavors. (For those unfamiliar--the "salty" licorice called Salmiak is made with ammonium chloride, NOT sodium chloride.) So, if your palate is expecting something to taste like "black licorice + table salt" you will want to buy the Licorice Sea Salt flavor (blue box). The flavor of ammonium chloride is, for my American palate...pretty harsh. Definitely must be an acquired taste.Also note--mine was delivered in a padded envelope as loose boxes. They were not bound in a "black tie box" or by anything at all, so I did not receive what was advertised. If you're ordering this for some sort of gift presentation, I could imagine that being disappointing.

Years ago I tried Original Läkerol and like them for their small size, big flavor, portability, tidiness (not sticky) and longevity (never went stale). I looked for more and found Läkerol comes in many flavors. But which to buy?Happily I discovered this 6-Flavor sampler, hoping to find a favorite flavor. "Cassis" (blackcurrant) has a berry taste... berry good! It's probably one of the 2 kinds 2-star reviewer CW liked. Along with "Cactus", perhaps my favorite, which has an excellent if indescribable fruit-like flavor. Läkerol "Original" is licorice with an herb/menthol flavor. And the "Special" has a stronger menthol flavor. "Salvi" is a mysterious licorice; mildly perfume-y, hinting of violets (hence the Vi in Salvi)."Salmiak" is the boldest flavor and not for timid taste-buds. Unprepared palates will likely react 'yuck' to it's perceived saltiness. Salmiak is an acquired taste, best appreciated after reading up on it and learning it is a flavor common to Nordic countries. Skoål!I enjoy sharing these pastilles with co-workers. It is amusing when a strapping tough guy "can't hack the Salmiak" while a mild-mannered milquetoast takes to it with gusto. You could say Salmiak separates the finicky from the adventurous.In my opinion these little Läkerol lozenges are 6 flavors of fun.

I got hooked on these on my trips to Iceland. I love that they are sugar-free with hints of legit herbal flavor. I bought these for myself for my birthday because I dream of them but couldn't justify the cost. Now that I have them, they were worth every penny.

Stay away from cactus, original, salmiak and salvi flavors. I ordered these after trying the lemon flavored ones and really enjoyed them. The cassis (or grape) is only decent tasting one, other ones are either super salty, too much licorice or both.

I became hooked on Lakerol's pastilles a few months ago after receiving a box as a gift from someone in Sweden. They are extremely hard to find in the United States (at least in upstate New York!) so I was thrilled to find a nice selection on Amazon. This variety pack, in particular, is awesome. I love all of the unique flavors - even the Cactus (which I was nervous to try!) is refreshing. I love to have a Lakerol when I'm hungry to curb myself from over snacking. The taste can't be duplicated.

cactus and cassie or blackberry current were both very good. I liked the special too, it was almost like a lightly spiced flavor. Original/mint was alright. The other two were too salty, especially the one I had to spit out.

In my quest for sugar free licorice without nasty chemicals and yucky aftertaste, I found these gems. They all have black licorice flavors mixed with other flavors. The only one that is fruity is the Cassis but I even like that one though it is not what I prefer. They have a squishy texture that dissolve slowly if you suck on them gently providing many minutes of enjoyment. I took a chance on the 2 of each investment thinking I would justify it by sharing a set with a fellow licorice lover but now I think I'd like to keep them all for myself...

Great liquorice treats, in the various varieties, arrived to my door. I can't wait to try the flavours I haven't yet had. Thanks for providing them to me, as I can't buy them here :)
