Lycan Fallout: Rise of the Werewolf

Mike's tale has grown with the telling
I really loved this new incarnation of Mike Talbot! His cynicism has grown with his age, and that is only to be expected, but also he has gained the capability of self reflection, which is a new thing for Talbot. All this character development is consistent with a person who has lived for over 150 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by how Talbot's character has evolved, even though I prefer an optimistic nature to the pessimism Talbot displays in this story. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment, and I hope to see more of Azile, Bailey and Lana. I was so sad to see one of the main characters pass on, but if anyone can be brought back to life somehow, that character would be the one....Other reviewers have noted that this book is better if you've read the ZF series, and I would have to agree with that, although I think it also stands quite well on its own. My husband just rolls his eyes when a new Tufo book comes out because I can't hear anything he is saying, but he appreciates that I let him read the book when I am done with it!Another thing I would specifically like to address is that Mark Tufo has my vote because even though he has been gaining notice rather quickly, he has not sunk so low as to raise the prices on his books to a point where they are ridiculous. Kudos for that Mr. Tufo!

Wicked Awesome!
Once again, Mike Talbot get himself in a whole heap of trouble! Of course, through no fault of his own doing - of course not! LOL - he has survived the zombie fallout, watched his family die and what is he left with but his own sarcasm and no one to dish it out to - until Tommy and Azile bring him back from the "dead" and show him that he is the ONLY person to "save the world" (once again). Now, we can only hope Talbot gets out of his own way and help his friends, and, with the help of new friends and a new puppy - he gets down to business of saving the world the Talbot way!Not everything that goes bump in the night is a vampire or zombie - now, we have to deal with Lycanthropes and Werewolves! Woo-hoo!!Great story and a great beginning to a new series from Mark Tufo. You don't have to have read the zombie fallout series to enjoy this new series by Mark Tufo. Mark brings the crazy back - and in a whole new way of goodness!Enjoy! Go Read A Book!

Great new take on Lycans and werewolfs
Mark Tufo has proved to many that he is an amazing author, and the Zombie Fallout series is must read. Lycan Fallout takes place long after the zombies have come and gone, but the main character Mike Talbot is still alive and kicking. Only now he is kicking lycan and werewolf butt instead of zombies. You see Mr Talbot is a vampire. Although not a regular vampire you may be used to, but due to certain events that happened in Zombie Fallout series he is doomed to walk the earth immortal, trying to find a way to regain his soul so he can join his friends and family in the great beyond. The zombie series will help you understand events in this book, but it is not a requirement that you read these to understand this story. This is a new take on lycans. After zombies almost eliminated mankind from the face of the earth lycans see this as their opportunity to ban together and take what is theirs, no longer living in the shadows of man. Lycans have resorted to creating werewolfs to help wipe what is left of the world of men. Werewolfs and lycan throughout history have been seen as the same thing, but in this story werewolfs follow the ancient story of men turning into a half man half wolf hybrid creature during a full moon, where lycans are born the way they are and can turn anytime they want.Michael Talbot must venture out across the barren ruins of the old world in order to protect what is left of humans. Some living in small towns trying to rebuild what once was. With the help of Tommy, the other immortal vampire Talbot is literally mankind's only hope if they wish to remain from being extinct. This book sounds like the first in hopefully many to come like the Zombie Fallout series

It's our favorite, some times dysfunctional, hero.
Putting Talbot in an alternate universe with some memories of other occurrences and friends is just what we were looking forward to. It would be hard to say anything about what is going on in this adventure without giving a lot of the story away. You will find old, new and forgotten friends helping one way or another. This book was fast paced enough that I finished it in two settings. Michael Talbot has new adversaries and new situations. Leading our characters into entirely different situations that only with his incredible luck and slightly different ways of approaching problems will get him through a parallel universe. Grab your favorite beverages and snacks so you won't have to get up and down. Strap on and enjoy the ride.

Very good fantasy/horror book
I liked this crazy story, i havent read the Zombie fallout series and the Talbot and other main caracter is new to me, some more of the background history from zombie fallout books would be nice to have but you can read this book standalone, it is a start or reboot of a new angle to Talbots crazy life with Lycans treatning human future. The instant complaining and big mouth of the Talbot caracter sometimes got to my nerve he he, i guess thats what the author wants. I now have a problem....i have to read the rest of the Lychan fallout serie, and the Zombie books, many sleepless night ahead i guess. If you like Lycan horror, fantasy, scifi well written this is the book for you

Awesome and funny, action packed, and thought provoking, great book!
Rise of the Werewolf (Lycan Fallout #1) by Mark Tufo is a different kind of werewolf novel. I get tired of the same old vamp and were novels after a bit, I read enough of them and they seem all the same after a while but not this one! What a pleasant surprise. I have this book as an ebook but I was going to make a long trip to my doctor's appt (2 1/2 hours one way) and downloaded as audio free from Amazon and listened to it and boy, I love it! The story is about a disgruntled vamp and his dog, an older but kid-looking vamp friend, and a witch. They have lots of adventure as they decide what to do with the rise of werewolves. Loved the characters, the plot, and the crazy situations they get themselves into! No wonder this whole series has so many 5 stars! Great book.

A great start to a new horror series with old favourites.
Mark Tufo's Zombie Fallout series was fantastic. I'm yet to read book 7 at this time but definitely will get it. So where could Mark go next. He's done zombies, aliens, a mind controlling teenage girl, and even talking dogs, cat and baby.Werewolves would seem to be the next step and this new series picks up on the story of Mike Talbot a loooong time after the events of Zombie Fallout 6. It appears that the zombie problem has died down and mankind has started to build itself up again. There are towns scattered around fighting for survival with Mother Nature, a step back in technological know-how, and each other. Along with the hardships of this new world comes a new threat in the form of Lycans and their slave werewolves. Needless to say there will be lots of bloodshed.Mike is just as he was previously. He's still a shoot first ask questions later, type of guy and needs holding back a bit by old favourites Azile and Tommy, as well as by a few other new characters. There is also a link to BT even though he is long since dead. The chatter between characters is just as funny as ever and the new story line seems as though it is going to be just as strong as the zombie themed one. Those are the two things that made the zombie series so engrossing and so I look forward to reading more of this follow-on series.

How does he do it?!
I'm a huge Zombie Fallout fan. Loved the books, couldn't believe the series ended, no more Mike Talbot.Read every other book Tufo wrote, loved them. Still missed Mike Talbot.I was really pleased to hear that Tufo was writing another Mike Talbot based book but slightly apprehensive. How can he top ZF? But I was pleasantly surprised. Mark Tufo has done it again. Lucan Fallout only gives me one zombie but that doesn't matter. There's another threat and the Lycans are nasty. Great to see some characters return, some brilliant new ones - BT MKII anyone?!Love that its set in the future but seems almost medieval.Mike Talbot is as brilliant as ever. Oggie rocks!Mark - thank you. I devoured this book and loved it. Now hurry up and write more of this series!

survived the zombies, now its time for the lycans!
If you are thinking of reading this before you have read zombie fallout, go and read zombie fallout.Fair warning. Mike talbot is back, and my heart is bleeding for him, and i kind of want to punch him in the face, if i thought oggie would forgive me.Mark tufo has in the creation of mike talbot given life to a character that is so well rounded I often find it hard to remember its not a actual journal im reading. I think tommy says it best " to be fair there really arent too many men like mike" who else would find the only pub and I mean the only pub and start a fight? Of course mike would argue he didnt start the fight they did when they brought the dog into it. I cant recommend it enough. This book had me smiling like a idiot, laughing so hard my cheeks hurt, and as much as i tried not to sobbing like a newborn. Takes a special kind of author to illicit those kind of emotions from a reader.

A pleasant surprise
I've read all of Mark's books except Lycan fallout because I was never really into werewolves but it got to the point where there was nothing else and the first book was free so I thought why not,I didn't actually realize it was a Michael Talbot tale until I started reading which was a nice surprise and as soon as I did I was hooked and relieved because I thought I was in for a long wait for my next hit of Michael talbotism, this storyline ties in seamlessly with Michael Talbot's zombie fallout series and is written in the same intricate style that Mark Tufo is well known for,you don't need to read the zombie fallout series as this can be read as a stand alone but I suggest you do because it's AWESOME,sooooooooo grateful I found this Michael Talbot timeline and will be downloading the entire series.Keep up the good work Mark.
