Truly softens skin
This product arrived double sealed, with a foam disc across the inside of the jar, and an outer plastic seal around the lid. This meant that nothing shifted out of the jar during shipping, which I appreciate. When I ordered this, I did not realize that it contains patchouli oil, which I find to be disgusting. The scent of patchouli literally makes me want to vomit, so when I received this and read the ingredients on the jar, I was appprehensive. I’m definitely not a fan of the scent, but it is not overwhelmingly patchouli scented. I honestly smell more of the clove bud oil and citrus oils. I can see why some people refer to it as a “Christmasy” scent (clove oil), but it is a bit more nuanced than that. It’s more of a “hippie” scent you might have found in a natural store. It’s definitely not “my” scent, and I’d love for them to change it, but it isn’t offensive. The texture of this cream is light and greasy. A little bit goes a very long way! I slathered both of my hands and arms in this cream, and it doesn’t even look like I touched the jar! This probably isn’t going to be the cream you reach for throughout the day due to the greasiness factor- it does eventually dry down quite a bit, but the sheen remains and will transfer form your hands onto other surfaces. However, it has made my dehydrated skin amazingly soft, so this is something I’m going to try to incorporate into my nighttime routine to hydrate my body skin, as it certainly needs it! Worth noting is that this cream is USDA certified organic, and there are no preservatives in the formulation. It relies on honey and beeswax for antibacterial properties. So, I encourage you to use this jar regularly once opened, as it will be more susceptible to bacteria than Mass marked jars continuing many preservatives. Also, since the formula contains oils and water, it may be prone to separating, so don’t be surprised if you need to stir it up. Lastly, again, it contains many oils, including olive oil, so if it does start to smell “rancid”, you will know it is last it’s prime. Also, it is handmade in Hawaii, which is the most expensive state in our nation. Everyone has an opinion on price and value, but honestly, I’m surprised that they can make this cream in Hawaii with organic oils and honey, and market it at this price and still make a profit. It isn’t cheap, but I would have expected a product like this from Hawaii to carry an even higher price point. I fully expect that this jar will last a long time, given how little is needed to moisturize, so for me, there is a value proposition to this product. If you can get over the scent, it is a fine moisturizer.

Excellent cream
This body cream is a winner in my book. I appreciate the organic ingredients and overall don't have any complaints about what goes into this product. I liked the scent but my kids didn't agree on that one. It goes on easily, if a tad greasy, and then feels great for a long time. It does a good job at moisturizing and hydrating. There is quite a bit in the bottle and should last for quite a while.

Try something else...
I was quite surprised by this product. It was very expensive, and felt really greasy. However, the biggest disappointment is that the product separated and went racid in a couple of weeks after purchase. I sought other Honey Girl products locally, and discovered they all contained water, and had all separated :( I expected more from a natural product maker. This is a breeding ground for bacteria. Do yourself a favor and find a better product, and spend less in doing so....

great stuff but....
I really like this organic/natural product. It absorbs well. I wish they would make an 8oz jar and also a lesser price. Other then that I would give this product 5 stars.

Smells like Christmas
The product does a beautiful job as a body cream but I was disappointed in the scent. I have the honeygirl face cream and absolutely love the smell of it. I'm very sensitive to any sort of scents and usually wear everything unscented. I took a risk with this hoping it was the same as the face cream. It is similar but smells very "christmas-y". Which is great for some but not my preference as I'm prone to headaches from strong scents.

a little biased
I happened upon this product while in Laie at a Farmers Market. My review is based solely on a sample I received at no cost. I had a horrific sunburn on my upper arms (not from Hawaii) that was only worsened by my recent stay. We have bees ourselves so I was intrigued by the additional applications for honey. The gentleman slabbed my arms with the creme and gave me a sample. The relief was immediate and the healing began almost as quickly. I reapplied the sample product numerous times throughout our stay and always got the same relief and only applying once or twice a day. It is now a month later and I still have some of my tiny sample left. It has not separated and I recently used it for a peculiar heat / irritant rash. It has helped the healing process more than cortizone or aloe. Not sure I could pay full price, but having experienced the positive aspects of this lotion it will be hard to talk myself out of it if need be.

Pricey
Pros: excellent product that works wellCons: the price is ridiculousLook, this is a very thick, emollient body butter. However, unless you're willing to break the bank and reorder often, it won't last long. Ideally used after showering, I find myself using it sparingly. 4 ounces isn't much for a cream that doesn't spread well. It's great stuff but I can't afford it.
