Fabulous Children's Book!
I bought this book for my two nieces and they just loved it - it is their favorite bedtime storybook! I thought the story was adorable and the graphics were fantastic. I work at an elementary school and invited the author, Kathy Doherty, to come in and read it to our students as she lives here locally. The teachers and students were thrilled and many, many copies of the book were purchased. We look forward to her next book with great anticipation and hope she can visit us again soon!!!!! What a great author! Keep on writing Kathy Doherty - you have a gift!!!!

From the storyline to the illustrations, this is a great children's book!
This is a great children's book! It has a very fun storyline with a range of vocabulary words and fun theme throughout. The illustrations are very colorful and expressive. I've gifted it a number of times to friends who have given it rave reviews and have a copy of my own for my daughter. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun read for their children that they can enjoy as well!

My son’s favorite book!
Don’t Feed the Bear is a joyful and sweet book that our entire family loves to read together. This quickly became the favorite book at bedtime! The story itself is funny and adorable, and the clever word play and funny illustrations have my 5 year old belly-laughing. He is just learning to read, so interpreting the various funny signs in the illustrations has been great practice (and he doesn’t even know it!). Such a sweet book with a great lesson about working together.

My three year old laughs out loud!
After a trip to the Smokey Mountains my 3 year old became obsessed with bears. This story is so cute, he laughs out loud every time we read it, and the illustrations are fantastic...a great book!

Cute but basic
Regarding the state of the book when I received it, not actually ‘new’. It had a sticker saying it was “amazon inspected” and part of the cover jacket was ripped at the spine, I’m not sure what why an inspection is necessary if a torn book was what they deemed appropriate to ship. Having said that, the rest of the pages were intact and in regards to the actual story, the book is cute but very simple. There isn’t much depth in this children’s book and the pages are mostly one liner sentences with no dialogue between characters. Not so much of a story but could be great if you wanted to make one up as you went along using the illustrations as a guide. It’s ok but I can’t say I would recommend as an addition for a home library. This is more a check out from the library and return book.

You’ll want to read “S’MORE”! Review by Leanne
DON’T FEED THE BEAR is a delightful book for children and adults! The war of words between Bear and Ranger are sure to have you laughing! I love the way the signs change throughout the story to suit the needs of each character, eventually coming to a pleasant compromise. I can’t wait to see what Kathleen Doherty has in store for us in the future! I definitely want to read “S’More”!

When I saw that Kathleen Doherty had written a book, I knew I had to get my hands on it, and she did not disappoint! All of the children I’ve had the opportunity to share this book with have absolutely loved it! It’s a fun and colorful story with a great message as well! My students, nieces and I can’t wait to see what Kathleen Doherty comes out with next!
