Works great. Zero complaints
I am a somewhat novice welder, so I wouldn't know the difference between something spectacular and something so-so. This is the best helmet I have ever owned, but in all fairness, I have used mostly old junk over the decades. It fits well, its not heavy, vision is good, darkens instantly... what else can I say? With what I know about it so far, I would buy another.

Decent starter welding helmet that does what it should
First and only welding helmet I've used so nothing else to compare it to. The auto darkening feature works well. It's fairly light weight and the headband comfort is fine. It's tedious to remove the auto darkening assembly if it fogs up or needs to be cleaned but not too bad. It just feels a bit fragile so I wouldn't want to mess with it too often. The helmet seems fine for a hobbies that does occasional welding, but you'd probably want something more robust for more frequent or production work.Got the MiDube 18.5" x 16.5" Storage Bag to store it in.

Great Starter Hood
Used daily for medium use mig welding and worked perfectly. Great starter hood, and parts seem relatively easy to find at TSC. Dropped it a handful of times and hasn't broke yet. Did notice it's fairly easy to strip the screws that tighten and loosen the hood from staying up. Replacement parts available, but something to look out for if you don't want it falling down all day long

Great hood
Hood is great. Replacing my old hobart hood that I gave to my son. Can see everything with this helmet. Fast acting with the 4 sensors. Not afraid for my eyes at all. Love the adjustability. Also like thst it has solar and a battery. Have used it welding 8hrs a day for months with no issues.

Work safely to save your eyes
I have a fairly good sized head and this helmet adjusts perfectly. The screen changes immediately from clear to safe welding so that old problem is solved. I have had no issue with this product and recommend it for anyone interested in safely welding.

Excellent daily driver
I bought this Hobart after using one half the price (amazon import) that kept cutting out on me unexpectedly while welding. Yes, i messed with the sensitivity settings to no avail. I also have an Optrel (sp?) ball cap style shield that was great for a while and never really stayed on my head when leaning over. It too began to have issues cutting out on me while welding. I'm 90% Tig - handrails and fireplaces. The Hobart works, it's lightweight, the lease is just big enough. It comes in a clamshell that is a little bulky yet has proven to be good for storage.
