PSP0212 Heavy Duty Lake and Beach Rake

Quality tool
With the addition of some extra steel welded to top of tine bar, this rake is a real workhorse for the heavy weeds in our large pond. The extra weight was needed to get it to sink into the mass and then drag them out. Works perfectly for us now and the quality should last us a long time.

Expensive, but worth the outlay of money. Well constructed and will last.
The rope is handy if you are going to throw half the rake out further, which was an unexpected bonus.Cons: There is no place to store the cap for the shortened handle, when throwing the rake. There is no cleat to keep the rope coiled out of the way. Otherwise, it can drag behind the rake, tangle in your feet, and pick up poison ivy. The rope storage is probably the reason I don't use it more, and I may end up taking it off or putting it on a caribiner for quick attachment.Pros:The rake efficiently picks up an amazing amount of pond weed, shortening shore cleaning by over 50%, compared with the pool skimmer nets I was using. The velcro that holds the float foam on was getting very weedy, so those got changed to zip ties, whick work great.

I’m my 60’s. Easy to use.
Fantastic product. I use two rakes. This one to dislodge and pull to shore. Too heavy for me to pull up on shore with long pole, but use shorter rake to pull up on shore. Not an issue for a younger person.

Excellent rake, shoots off rope like a rocket if your not careful
Product works great, very sturdy and strong. One thing I will mention is that the instructions say when you attach the rope to the handle do not over-tighten the nut on the bolt (make it finger tight) That is what I did. So there I am, throwing the rake into the pond, pulling it in and grabbing tons of weeds from the top. One hour later, I go to toss the rake into the pond and it shoots off the rope like a missile .... sinks to the bottom, very slowly.....as I stared at it knowing there was nothing I could do but watch it sink to the bottom.Another hour later in a canoe with a rigged up garden tool on a pole, I was able to grab the rake and pull it back to safety. So the morale of the story is, finger tight with the nut/bolt that attaches the rope to the handle is NOT good advise. Bring along an adjustable wrench of a 7/16 wrench and tighten that bitch up.

Descent weed rake
Wish it came with a weight for the rake as well as the float. You need a weighted rake when you want to rake weeds at the root

Great Tool!!! Good Quality!!!
I bought this rake because I have a very large pond that was almost totally covered with floating algae. We hired a company to get most of it out. We tried using the nylon pool skimmers with the pole. But they could only reach the algae as it got close to the sides. The pool skimmers don't hold very much. This rake it very wide, it floats, and it has a 50ft rope that can be thrown much farther out than the pool skimmer can reach, and it collects a lot more with one pull of the rake. This rake definitely works as advertised, and it has quality construction. I would highly recommend!

Works as advertised.
Order was originally delivered somewhere else. Contacted seller and they resolved the problem. Works great. Just wish the splines were an inch longer.

I bought this and am happy to have it
I bought this and am happy to have it. It is hard work cleaning the funk out of the bottom of a pond. The funk easily comes off the rake. The extension is great. I haven't used the rope yet and not the float part. It worked well but if you want to clean muck off the bottom of a pond it takes time and lots of repetition. The rake worked well.
