Great little fan that *can* be disassembled to clean!
One of the main reasons I chose this model? It comes apart for cleaning. I'm sick of buying similarly sized throwaway fans that burn out because I can't clean the crud off properly. Now, that said, this isn't a Dyson. It's not a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth sorta fan. But, it's also not a Dyson price point either. With a little time and patience, I was able to completely disassemble this fan with a normal Philips screwdriver. The case components are all plastic. Just a quick soak in warm soapy water, a little brushing with an old toothbrush and rinse. Voila! ALL the cruddy spots are like new!!!Reassembly was a little fussy- getting the outer case to snap together properly. But if you only want to clean the fan blade and front grille, those are quick and easy to access by removing just one screw.I appreciate when things work as advertised and I'm very happy with this little guy.

A Small Fan That Packs A Wallop
I have to agree with many of the other reviews that the BONECO F100 Desktop air Circulator Fan has a power button that can be tricky. I have to tap it multiple times in a precise way that I have yet to figure out to power it to its different levels. That being said, this is a fairly minor aggravation since a few rapid finger taps gets the fan to the level I want in just a few seconds. It's highest power level is quite a bit of wind for its size. I know that it claims to be a desktop fan , but except on low levels, it is apt to clear my desk of papers. Instead, I set the fan on a nearby chair or perhaps on top of low bookcase or even on he floor by the door. The instructions say that it is best not to directly blow it on oneself. It is important to remember that this is a specially engineered fan that sets up air circulation patterns in he room that move a lot of air. It does more than just blow air. It seems well built and definitely doesn't have an evidence of poor quality construction. The minor power switch issue aside, I really like this fan.

A GOOD BUY BUT TWO CAVEATS (3-1/2*)
This is an excellent small fan, suitable for use on a kitchen counterpart (which is where I've placed it) or comparable spot. It's attractive looking and ready to work right out of the box. There are two caveats however, which the buyer should consider: 1. You cannot change the angle of the fan. The fan rests on its base and the direction of air is fixed by that. For me, it's not a problem because I was looking for a countertop fan to use in a room that is not air-conditioned. The tilt of the fan is perfect for me as is. 2. The on off switch is simplicity itself. You tap it, it turns on to level one. Ditto, two and then three. Tap it again and it turns off. The problem --for me so far-- is that it doesn't always respond to my tapping. On occasion, I have had to tap it several times in order to turn it up or off. This may be a matter of my finding the golden spot to tap, but it is frustrating. One time, I simply pulled the plug out, I was so frustrated. For threads two reasons, although I like the fan, I cannot rate higher than 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

Boneco makes some of the best fans
I have had a Boneco "air mover" fan in my bedroom for a few years now and it's the best fan that I've ever owned--quiet, works by remote, powerful. Beautiful. This BONECO - F100 Desktop Air Shower Fan is a much smaller fan, of course, it's meant for a desktop which is where I have it. I finally relented two years ago and put a/c in my home office (I'm a writer) which is in a hot (HOT!) second-floor bedroom in my 100 yr old colonial home and it's great (5,000 btu), but there are times when I'm just stopping into my office for 10 mins and I don't want to crank up the a/c so I turn on this desktop fan--and it's great. It has touch controls (one complaint: the touch controls are touchy and don't always respond on the first try) and it's a powerful fan. I only have it two feet from my head, but it can easily stir up the room in the entire office, I'm sure. The fan is not totally silent but it's not annoying in any way and it really moves a ton of air. I can't recommend Boneco enough and that floor model (I don't know the model # offhand) is the BEST fan I've ever owned. I'm thrill to have finally caved and gotten a/c, but these fans are second best. Not sure but I think these fans are designed in Switzerland and the craftsmanship shows. Flawless construction.

quiet fan but tricky on/off button
The media could not be loaded. BONECO continues it's modern deco design with this F100 Desktop air Circulator Fan. Fan fits nicely in a small or medium size room.Touch control to turn the fan on is a little tricky. You have to tap the on/off button on the side of foot stand with light force or it will not function right. After a few practices I have no problem turing on the fan and changing the fan speed 95% of times.Highest setting of fan is fairly strong. Base on Boneco website's listed technical info, the high setting has air flow of 359 cfm which rivals Vornado 630 mid size air circulator. It is decent for small to medium sized room. At lowest setting the fan is very quiet for sleeping.Boneco F100 can not change the tilt or angle of the fan but is very stable on the flate top. This makes F100 less versitle than Vornado fan.Overall Boneco F100 is not a bad fan for the purpose of moving the air as a circulator.
