I was really looking forward to this, it was such a disappointment.Do not waste your money and patience. This is terrible. ...1. It arrived scratched - not a good start. One reason might be that it came as is, in its own box and nothing more - no amazon box, no amazon packaging, just the box with a sticker on it!2. attaching it is NOT simple!firstly, if you have smooth tiles - and they need to be completely smooth and level - you can use the handy two sticky tapes - oh but wait ....the back is not smooth, so when you do this - it is lumpy, not level, and when you pull on it it wobbles.3. There is no way to cut the roll -you know how normal, sensible looking roll holders that dispense loo roll, have a lip that you can tear or cut the loo roll on - this one does not have anything like that. The opening is thick and rounded and if you try to do a wrist snap to take the loo roll section you need off you either end up with lots more loo roll, or the loo roll disappears inside - every time!4. attaching it is NOT simple (again)it comes with 2 screws and 2 rawplugs ( as well as the 2 strips of sticky tape mentioned and discarded earler) - great - oh but wait...there are 6 holes on the back ???- 2 are oval shaped - one is 90 degrees to the other,- 2 are those that you know, you put the screw in the wall and put the screw head in the big bit and pull it down to the narrow bit for a secure fit -oh but wait...they are UPSIDEDOWN! and therefore completely pointless ( yes there is an up and a down, because of the way it opens to put the loo roll inside),- 2 are recessed.. oh but wait - they are recessed on the outside and the holes are too small - they are INSIDEOUT and TOO SMALL !So...we tried the only viable option which are the two oval ones, again I reiterate - one oval hole is horizontal , the other further down is vertical. We drill holes, fix rawplugs, struggle to get purchase inside the thing to get the screws into the holes and then into the wall because the inside contraption of arms etc block direct access to the holes... oh but wait...because one of these holes is horizontal, the thing moves EVERY TIME you use it, side to side.5. The material is it made out of is flimsy so the whole things feels unsteady and like it will break every time you use it, as well as, you know, not being able to use it properly, because you cannot get the loo roll off the roll without taking it all or loosing it inside the ball.6. The actual loo roll holder bit on the inside is 2 separate arms with a gap inbetween. You place the loo roll between those two arms, You place the each head of these arms inside each side of the loo roll... oh but wait....the head is too big for regular UK looroll - they are massive. Andrex does not fit, Charmin does not fit, Tesco own brand does fit, only because they make up for their low price with thin paper and a giant roll on the inside, which is what this contraption of Doom requires.I was so looking forward to this, purple is my fav colour and the whole thing was a let down from first arrival, from unboxing to trying to get it on the wall, to trying to get the loo roll to fit, to trying to get loo roll off to use it!Do not waste your money and patience. This is terrible.
