Bought three of these as stocking stuffers for my 3 kids. We were initially disappointed as we're could not get them to work out of the package. they would flash for one second ad you screwed the battery cap on. We were following the instructions completely (the bad english translation from Chinese) We planned on returning all three when my eldest wouldn't give up and began trying to get it to work any way she could. Low and behold she figured out that you have to hold the power button for about 10 seconds to turn it on, something completely missing from the instructions. They are definitely cheaply made doo I am not sure how well they will hold up. So far we're have only tried them out inside the house with a bike upside down and spinning the pedal. The patterns are neat but by the looks of the speed required I am guessing they will only be flashing lights while the kids ride their bikes.

First off, this is not a set, you have to buy two per bike. Second, you can not tell whether they are on or off. They flash when you press the power button but then the bike has to be ridden so you can tell that they did not turn on yet again. Third, the first one broke after a month (and two to three rides). The power button sank in and no longer works. I got these for my son's bike bc the wheels are small but the larger ones from other vendors seem much better.

I purchased these after having purchased a giant bluetooth bar version about a year ago. I like these better. Installation was easier than the other one. While it's not bluetooth, the images seem to show up quite well. It takes 1AA battery which is cheap and easy to deal with. Normally I would complain if I can't recharge something but something that I don't want to take on and off a bike I prefer this over the rechargeable versions. Honestly though rechargeable for this wouldn't be bad as install was less than 5 minutes. It was easy. Also it has an on and off button and has some power saving modes that seem to work well. I can't speak of water resistance as it's always in a garage and I can't speak to how long it lasts as I have only used it about 5 times for about 10 minutes each on my son's bike. My son loves this though and honestly he was very happy and excited about it. I would buy this again and in fact I might to put one on his back wheel.

These bike lights are awesome! I bought them for nighttime safety on my Cervélo road racing bike. Often, I find myself training into the dark hours of the night (USA National Road racing and TT Champion) so it feels good to have extra lights that are visible on a horizontal axis to vehicles that share the road! I highly recommend these for kids bikes too:) the speed it took to get full patterns on my wheels was typically 20mph, but I see a huge benefit to add them to kid’s bikes in terms of safety. The lights are extremely visible. Worth it.

Just got it in the mail it doesn't work

For the price , it’s not the coolest looking thing but it does thee job compared to other more expensive lights. I use rechargeable AAA. They are motion sensor so they turn off by itself when the wheel is not moving so you don’t have to turn it off. We]ll see how long they'll last.

Bought 6 sets (for 3 bikes - front and back tires) and NONE of the sets work. Cool idea - terrible, horrible, awful manufacturing. Gee, I'd show you a photo but it probably looks just like the bike sitting in your garage lol!
