This mic is great sound, and great quality! Super durable for high usage at a fitness studio. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because the only option to charge the battery is by a plug. You can’t use rechargeable batteries or regular batteries. If someone forgets to charge it by plugging it in at night, you’re screwed! Wish it had that option too!

These worked well for about 6 months and now they're a big issue. When we start class, they work decent, and as the 30 minute class goes on, they get quieter and quieter... until they don't work at all. Also, some of my instructors heads don't fit them at all and they have to wear a headband over it to keep it on their head. Super disappointed that they didn't even last 6 months (with use of windscreens) for how expensive they are. Will not be purchasing again.

Wireless? Also, randomly soundless. The mic stops working 4-5 times during my 1.5 hour class which I teach 4 days a week. I'm always within 20 feet of the base so distance shouldn't be a problem. I have to go over to the base and turn it off and back on to get it to connect again. I'm very disappointed in this product. I've owned 4-5 Samson mics over the years. All my previous Samson mics had problems with breakage so I chose this one because I thought it would be less likely to break and I was right about that. What I wasn't expecting was multiple random dropouts during my class, a problem I never experienced with my other Samson mics . Also, this mic like to squeal more than the other mics I've owned.

Good sound and good for class but did not last long, wires broke.

Fits a little bit weird on your head but easy set up and we have been using it at my gym everyday with little to no issues!

When im teaching, it randomly turns off or gets disconnected, either way your voice doesn't get heard and its a constant pain in the ass. Im totally bummed because its not cheap

This mic sounds great and fits many head sizes. We use it at our dance studio and it's fantastic.

I've been teaching for 20 years. I have an older version of Samson that works great. I have now bought two of this version. The receiver does its trick of scanning for a clear channel. But the headset transmitter never catches on. I went to Samson support. They first didn't understand my concern that the IR light didn't light up. Then they sent me a Quick Guide booklet. I had to explain that I already have the booklet and that after teaching for 20 years, I understand the connection, having used Shure for years, and now Samson. It just doesn't connect. Oh well. I followed all the specific directions and charged up the headset. Followed the guidance completely. It doesn't matter.
