This ironing board cover fits very well and looks great. The padding is also super thick. I'm so happy to have it. I'll be even happier if this new one lasts at least half as long as the old one I've had for so many years I don't even remember. The price is right and it arrived when promised in perfect condition. I highly recommend it if you need a new cover for your board. Now all I need is a new iron…cordless of course. ;-)

After reading reviews of several different sellers of ironing board covers, I rejected many because users stated that clothes stuck to the cover and were difficult to move around. I chose this one because that problem was not mentioned. Well surprise! It does the same thing. I just tried it for the first time and it will be coming off my board at the first opportunity. Thank goodness I had not trashed my old one until I had tried the new one.It gets three stars because of the all-around elastic which gives a great fit. The only reason I bought a new one was that my old one kept sliding on the board. I will work on a new fastening system for the old one.

Old School ironing board cover works great! Was using a cotton cover that immediately stained the first time I used it and was marking my fabrics. I looked everywhere locally for the old school silver metallic style but could not find anywhere. This one is very generous sizing and went on my 40 year old ironing board like a dream! Usually I have to tug and pull and they slip off when you use them. This one stays on and has nice thick backing. Seems to reflect the heat back and ironing is much quicker. I am glad I found on Amazon.

I'm a quilter, so I bought this cover for several reasons. It was large enough for my board, it had elastic around it, it was supposed to be thick, it's supposed to be 'slippery' and because it was silver, which reflects the heat back onto the fabric for a better press. Pressing your seams nicely is as important as cutting your fabric with a sharp blade. The top got a hole in it within three months of use! I press fabric, I don't nail anything to it! Right in the middle of the board! That's not helpful. Also, it's NOT slippery. My blocks/quilts get stuck on it just as easily as any other cover. I am so disappointed with this cover that I cringe every time I look at it. If you're going to use it to press your clothing occasionally, then this might be great for you but if want to use it for quilting, sewing, crafting then this is NOT the workhorse you are looking for. This cover didn't even last 6 months.

I have been hesitant about getting a new ironing board cover. The ones I have gotten in the stores are too small. I have a very old ironing board, 54" x 15".The narrow end is a little bigger than most of the ones I have seen in the stores. In the reviews of covers, people give the size of their boards and how the covers fit. I don't understand how it can be too small for some and too big for others, if they are the same size boards. Anyway, this cover was a bit big for my board and I was afraid it would crinkle my clothes when I ironed, but it didn't. I have been using it for a few months now and I really like it. It has a nice under padding and I like how the iron glides across this cover. I do wish it were a little smaller, but am happy to find one that I can actually get on my board. If your board is smaller than mine, it may be too big.

This cover is the same as the one I had two covers ago. I like the silver one better than a regular cloth one. The cushioning is sufficient for me, and it was easy to put on, and the price was right.This should last a long, long time since I do little ironing anymore!

Hard to use. Could have just gone and gotten a piece of felt a lot more cheap.

Fits perfectly and works really well. I gave it a quick wipe with a damp cloth when I fitted it as some of the silver comes off when rubbed. Now it's fine.Elastic all around, padding attached to the inside.
