The Jacket

The book itself is great, my daughter loves it. BUT if you're getting a used book, expect it to be worse than described. I got one described as "like new" and the jacket is shredded on the ends and the corners. There was also a sticker put on the book jacket with nasty adhesive, so it took some of the jacket with it. Because of all that I feel like I got ripped off, but again the book itself is one that my daughter will read again and again, I highly recommend the book.

Confession: I'm a book jacket designer, so this book hits a special place in my heart. But you don't have to be one to enjoy it. If there's ever been a special book in your life, you'll understand the relationship between a girl and her favorite book. As an added bonus, there are instructions in the back for kids to make their very own book jackets. Add in a fun surprise under the jacket of this book and I just found the new Christmas gift for all of my friends in publishing.

My daughter can’t get enough of this book

Love books about books - and books about dogs - and this one has both! The illustrations are lovely, the text lyrical, and the characters and story are endearing. I also love how the girl uses creativity and craft to solve the problem between the book and the dog.
