BurdaCrafts Sewing Pattern 6495 Stuffed Animal Horse & Unicorn Toys

Had a blast making these two! The directions are clear and there are not too many little pieces to work with. As you can see in the pictures, these can be made of different types of fabrics. I've used plush, satin and flannel with acrylic yarn hair. I have been making plush toys for many years, but I think these would be easy for most intermediate sewists.I embroidered the eyes, but can see these with safety eyes also. Be sure to stuff the legs enough so they don't buckle when standing.

My granddaughter is so happy with the unicorn I made from this pattern. Easy to follow instructions and not hard to make. I really like this pattern.

I have four young granddaughters that all love unicorns. I wanted to make them one for something special. This was the perfect pattern. Most that I found on the internet were too small. These are a great size and came out so cute. I used soft fleece and made two with wings and two without.

The reason I said only experienced people should use this pattern is because there are construction problems that you will have to solve on your own. For one thing, the actual pattern pieces do not all have identification so it's hard to know which little piece is which. Also, the instructions are vague and unhelpful. Just assume that you'll be faced with a pattern that is largely unexplained: if you can draw on your experience as a seamstress, you'll be okay.
