Very handy!
This cape for catching hair when doing your own haircuts is great. Fit well & was comfortable to wear. No issues with arm movements to reach all around my head. The neck area has an adjustable velcro opening to accommodate different neck sizes. The material could easily be spot cleaned should it get dirty. I did have to bend up the wire that goes around the bottom for catching the hair a little (I know several reviewers complained the hair wasn’t staying in the cape and just falling out). It took only a few seconds to do and I am sure it is because of it being folded for storage and transport. After I was done cutting my hair, the hair to be discarded including the little bits, easily shook/brushed off the cape with just my hand.I could also seen this being very helpful for people who color their hair as well. I think it would definitely keep any drips or spills in/on the cape and not you, your sink, your floor, etc.Overall , I would definitely recommend this product.

Works great, well worth $16
This really does the job for me when cutting my hubby's hair. We've used it 4 times now. He feels silly in it, but I'm the only person seeing his "silly clown shirt" during the process. The cap sleeves work great to keep the hairs off his shirt when he tucks his arms inside the cape. Hairs collect nicely in the bowed-up "tray" that the wire hooping creates. A tip to users would be to be sure the cape/cloak is over the OUTSIDE of the chair back, if the customer is sitting in a high backed chair such as a kitchen chair. That allows the wire hoop/tray to catch hair as it falls on any side of the "customer". EWIN(R) 1PCS New Style Hair Cutting Cloak Umbrella Cape Salon Barber Hairdressing Gown Family For Adult (ADULT SIZE) We found the Velcro closure around the neck opening is a minimal length. I added another 2 inches of hook and loop tape to it, so even my mom's slender neck is caressed tightly enough to keep the cut hairs out. Tip 2: a dishtowel folded 4 or 5 times lengthwise, then placed around the neck before snugging up the cape helps keep those pesky hair pieces from sneaking down inside the shirt. Tip 3: Gathering the hairs into one area by sliding a hand around the tray/catch area of the cape, and gathering the hairs into a loose ball will allow you to protect the hairball from falling out while the cape is being removed over the wearer's head. Then, with the hair balled into just one area of the cape tray, just a quick shake over a wide-mouthed garbage can will finish the clean-up. Admittedly, it's tough to get the wire edging to circle back over itself enough times to return it to a small enough grouping to fit back into the stuff-sack that it comes in. So I just found a larger bag to keep it in. Thanks for such a simple yet effective clothing protector and hair catcher rolled into one product.

Not worth the money
Flimsy, doesn't stay in position for cutting hair yourself. Wouldn't buy again

SHORTEN YOUR STRAPS, FOLKS!
Tips and tricks for using this product, as written by me, a lowly hair-cutting amateur cutting my own hair, after the first successful use.1. First and likely most importantly, SHORTEN THE STRAPS. You want to create a deep valley for your hair to fall into and stay into, and the straps are likely too long. Use paper clips, binder clips, clothespins, (I recommend safety pins), whatever you have available that will hold them securely while you work. I made a roughly 3" loop near where they connected to the fabric. (the picture doesn't show this, but it worked like that as well)2. Lay out all your tools before beginning, and put them up high, because once you have this thing on, you won't be able to see below you, and it'll be very awkward to move. Make sure one of these tools is a small trash can or plastic bag that is open and prepared to receive hair. I always lay down a cheap shower curtain liner when I'm cutting my hair, and probably still will, even though I now have this.3. Make sure your arms come out between the straps so you have one in front, one in back on each side.4. If you drop something, it's GONE. Do not try to pick it up. You will fail, and you will dump hair everywhere. Have a picker-upper helper handy if you are not friends with gravity.5. Take breaks. Your arms will get tired quickly with this on. Use each break to gently shuffle the hair you've cut forward, form a gentle V with the wire, and dump it into the bin or bag you've conveniently placed nearby. If your clippers came with a small brush, make use of it!6. Before you take it off, remove your arms from the armholes and carefully turn the whole thing around. You probably can't see the hair that's fallen behind you, and you want to make sure you've dumped the majority of the hair out before you take it off.7. Trying to keep everything level, carefully lift the whole thing up above your head and then lower it down, also keeping it level.8. Resist the urge to brush the remaining hair off the cape with your hand. Those tiny hairs are now very sharp and you will end up with splinters in your hand. Use the brush, or a damp paper towel, to get the remaining hair off. Take it outside and shake it free if you can.9. to fold it up, grip opposite sides of the device with one palm up, one palm down. Now twist both hands at the same time so the palm up hand is now palm down, and the palm down is now palm up. Bring those hands together, and shift your grip to one palm. Do not let go. Repeat. It should now be small enough to fit in the bag. The elastic loop is meant to hold it together, but it is not strong enough. Don't trust it. DO NOT LET GO. Stuff it in the bag. Good job.I hope this helps you.

Works good
This looks ridiculous. But it works fabulous for keeping the mess off the floor. Love it. Everytime I cut my husbands, i tell him it was the best 15.00 I spent.

Love this product!
I love this product as I can trim my hair without worrying of cleaning messes. One small issue is the neck width too big . Please get the longer seal.

Not as 'scooped' as advertised
Not at 'scooped' as advertised, but worked well enough.

Great idea, need practice to make it work.
Although useful, I need to practice using more. I found it very difficult to fold and put back it the bag.The idea is excellent, you just need to practice folding it and removing it so you don’t spill hair all over.

Stopped using it: cheap product doesn’t do the job
The neck Velcro failed to clock broken hair from leaking in! It’s itchy to use it.It’s messy when I try to throw the falling hair in the bin, they go everywhere!
