Toddler Two

My version did not have flaps...
Maybe the flaps are a new feature, but mine did not have any. No problem, though, as flaps don't tend to hold up that well in the long haul anyway.I initially bought this book because of the illustrations featuring two Asian children but found that my two-year-old loved the simple text enough to hear it nightly for weeks at a time. Perhaps it's partially because she saw herself in their faces? A quick (one minute) read...no real "story", just observations about the toddlers' two arms, legs, eyes, ears, etc. A cute book, but outgrown by age 3 as my daughter wanted more of a story by then...we just passed it along to a younger friend ;-)

We love this book!
I have clear memories of reading this book with my two daughters and all of us "acting" out each of the body areas that are being counted. It is now one of my "must haves" as baby shower gifts. I hope other families enjoy it as much as we did.

no content
This book had no content to it. It wasn't a story for entertainment for anyone. It was just a bunch of repetative sentences. With a bit more effort the author would have had a better product. It was a definate disappointment. I bought it as a gift for a 2 year old. I'm glad it was delivered to me rather than my sending it directly to the child. Once I looked at it I decided that it wasn't worth sending. My lesson was to definately read reviews.

A must buy for Asian-American toddlers
A delightfully illustrated book. The subjects are Asian American. It is very difficult to find books with appealing Asian American children as the main subject, versus obligatory supporting roles. And my daughter loves folding and unfolding the flaps, exposuring the different body parts. Also, the flaps are very robust (unlike the "Noisy" series which I had to repair over and over with tape) and she hasn't been able to pull them off or rip them, a tribute to the book design. I subsequently bought 2 more copies to give to my friends' children.

enjoyed by whole family
Not only does my 2 year old son love this book but so do I and his Papa. He can now count and recognize the number two in english and spanish because we have read this book so many times.

Four Stars
Perfect book for a child's 2nd birthday! Simple text that eventually the child can learn and memorize.

Straight forward for the little ones
My child loves this book. It repeats words over each page. As I read my child points to the eyes, legs of the drawings etc. I think it also helps that there are only a couple of words per page as sometimes they get flipped quickly. Last I like the concept that the number two is "special" for toddlers....Cute story with nice pictures :)
