Gregory's Shadow

i got it today and came fine.

I bought this after my research because I teach 2 year olds and so many great books are geared towards older kids, but I thought this might be ok. I was surprised to see that it really helped them to get the "abstract" idea of shadows since it's not something they can touch. I read the book to them and they thought the main character, Gregory, was cute and we followed it up by making a craft about the shadows of a groundhog then used chalk outside to color in one of the student's shadows which showed them that shadows are something that we have every time they are outside and it's sunny, but something they didn't really care about before. It gave the kids the fun of "ground hogs day" without really making them feel like it was over their heads. The character was relatable and they loved it. I'm using it every year now!

I THOUGHT IT WAS NOT FOLLOWED THRU VERY LONG ON WHAT THEY MIGHT HAVE WANTED TO SAY. GREGORY'S SHADOW. I ORDERED IT BECAUSE OF THE NAME OF THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT. I GAVE IT TO A RELATIVE WITH THE SAME NAME. A CUTE BOOK...
