Simple and handy!
I use it to dice onions and cut potatoes into French fries. For onions, I first slice the onion to the desired thickness, then use this cutter to dice the slices by pressing down with the onion slice on a cutting board. To dice potatoes it is exactly the same as the onion. To make French fries, peel but don't slice the potato. Beware it is not meant for soft vegetables like tomatoes nor for cubing meat. It is usually necessary to use something like a chopstick, to push our the last slice you dice If you intend of dicing multiple slices, just do them one at a time and the new slice will push out the previously diced slice. Works great with melon but not watermelon

She thick
Good quality, cutting mechanism detaches for easy cleaning of the handle but you will need to dig out pieces of potato from the plastic frame. Cuts are thicker than i care for.

Utterly defeated by a normal potato.
Looks nice, looks sturdy. Well, one out of two is not a good fit in this case. This "cutter" doesn't. About a half inch into cutting the first (and last) potato, it completely self-destructed into several pieces. This might be good for cooked potatoes or play-doh, but not for cutting raw potatoes.

Difficult to use
I had a similar one previously that I liked. After years of use it fell apart. I purchased this one with high expentations. I know I am not as strong as I used to be, but the effort needed to use this was imposible for me. So unless your a muscular person, I would not recomend this item

Worked OK for potatoes, NOT good for Sweet Potatoes
I used this 10-12 times for potatoes to make fries and it works pretty well. Still very tough to cut them since the blades are very thin. The first time I tried to use this on a sweet potato it broke. Literally the blades pushed all the way up to the handle and are stuck in the middle of the sweet potato.

Love this thing!
I really have to say that this helps making French fries sooooo much easier. It is easy to clean and does not take up much storage room at all, unlike the lever/press machines. I have already used it about 20 times so far.Just make sure right after using it, you clean it with soap and water (by hand), and that you dry it off good with a piece of paper towel. This will prevent it from rust and keep the blades sharp.

Not stainless steel
Add states many times its made of stainless steel which is why I chose this unit but it is NOT made of stainless steel, its just chrome plated regular rustable metal. As its made in china it bent during cutting then finally broke at the weld joint within a few uses, go figure.Just another china p.o.s.

Useless - stopped cutting after two potatoes
First potato cut through fine. Second took a bit of effort and then it was useless. Clearly doesnt hold its sharpness.
