This bag is *almost* perfect. It's a deceptively large bag that feels small when you carry it, stands up alone, reasonably waterproof, and has plenty of flexible space. I can even get a 15" laptop in it, although it's tight and does stick out of the top by an inch or so.My one giant complaint is that the single zippers on the front pockets pull only from the top down, and start at the top middle of the bag so half the pocket is virtually inaccessible. With only one zipper per pocket, when you do open it everything falls out of the side and it's almost impossible to get anything in or out of the small areas if you don't unzip it all the way down.If they would lose the four cramped up goofy pockets on front and replace them with one or two more easily accessible and efficient flatter pockets with double zippers ... I'd stock up on a few dozen bags so I could carry this bag the rest of my life.

This is a good bag. The fabric appears to be rugged, but I have not given this a durability score because I have only had it for a couple of weeks. There are two pockets on the front, one reasonably sized and one big enough for a phone. Behind that and under a flap is a large zipper pocket. The main pocket as many interior pockets, one big enough for a 15" laptop, barely, and another big enough for a good sized tablet (my Samsung Tab A 10.5 fits there), and one mess pocket and at least one more. There is also a snap pocket on the back. My only other complaint is that the two edge pockets really aren't big enough for anything. A can of soda will fit on one side, but not the other, but most water bottles will be a tight fit. The strap has a large comfortable padded cover that is very nice.

Love this bag. It's very durable and lightweight. Only reason why I docked a star is because it's not expandable. Wish the main compartment was able to expand for times I needed to cram more things in it. Overall, it's a great bag and I recommend it to anyone needing something that's durable, has lots of pockets and is lightweight. Laptop/tablet sleeve included in it which is a plus. I have a 13inch MacBook Pro (with the Touch Bar) and have a padded protective sleeve for it. The laptop compartment in the bag only allows enough room for the laptop itself but not my protective sleeve, which is why I wish the bag had an expanding option like how you can expand suitcases when you have more things to stuff in them. Other than that, I love this bag.

I was looking to replace a larger messenger bag as it was too big. I found this bag and since it had free returns, I thought I would try it. It's a well made bag with lots of room for my items. Attached is a picture of what I have in the bag. The item in the case is a Kindle Paperwhite so give you an size idea. The glass case and the sunglasses fit in the side pockets.The side pockets will hold a very small water bottle, so don't expect to fit a large bottle in the side pockets. The main compartment zipper doesn't zip all the way across. There is a small opening on each side of the zipper, but for me that words as I can put my work keys on a lanyard looped around the outer shoulder strap and tucked into the small hole into the main compartment.Overall a nice deep bag with lots of storage spaces.

Bag will fall apart when overfilled, so comment made about falling apart with LIGHT use highly unlikely... that's why so many 5 star reviews... the ridiculous comment about the water bottle is so stupid as to be GRRRR able... this is a “small” bag for small water bottles, I bought one that fit the bag... your big bottle would fall out, look at the dimensions before you buy a bag this size.

I love it. Best college bag ever. I can hold it by handles, designed nicely so everything has its own place. Nothing ever gets lost! The more I use it , the more I love it. Has its spot for water bottle, pencils, train cards easily accessible in this bag. Seller was great and it arrived on time. Good seller also +++

The bag works well. Great for carrying a tablet, legal pad, snacks, notebook, etc. Unfortunately, one zipper came off on a key pocket that holds pens rendering the bag useless after 6 months. I sent the order number as requested by the seller on December 10th and have yet to receive a response. No phone number or email address is prominent to make things easier.

I have a 28 oz. water bottle. The side pockets won't hold my water bottle. It may hold a smaller bottle. GRRR
