Sauer FrauSqueezable Gluten-Free & Vegan Sauerkraut (Bavarian with Caraway Seeds, 18 Ounce)

I love the zing of sauerkraut and the zip of a craft beer mustard on my hot dogs, burgers, roasted vegetables, and of course, with stuffed cabbage. And I love Sauer Frau for combining the two flavors into a convenient, squeezable, picnic- and tailgate-ready condiment.Giant bags of kraut (that aren't resealable) and glass jars (that can break in transit) have their places in my kitchen. But when I want just a small amount of kraut for a sandwich, this squeeze bottle means less waste and less hassle - and I can take it on the road. Yes, the consistency of the kraut is finer than we are used to, but it has to be in order to pass through the opening in the lid. And yes, the (liquid) brine will escape before the (solid) kraut. However, a really good shake of the plastic bottle helps recombine the two after settling. (Something I automatically do with ALL condiment bottles before pouring.)The appearance of the finely chopped and shredded kraut is typical. The fermented flavor is sour, salty, and mustardy. The texture is firm, crunchy, and juicy. And the taste is GREAT.I haven't sampled the other two options (Classic or Bavarian,) but the Craft Beer Mustard is my new favorite condiment.

I don't like the mushy texture. I love sauerkraut, but did not like this product.

So I love sauerkraut. I am a fan of artisanal krauts and good old fashioned kraut in a jar from the grocery. But sometimes you just want to have a little kraut on a hot dog or a sandwich but don't want to open a whole jar. And then I found this product! So first the highlights: great taste, ease of use, portion control. You really just squeeze a nice line of sauerkraut down the dog, add some mustard and go. Now this kraut has been finely minced to come out of the bottle easily, so the texture is different. It is more of a slurry, no real strings of cabbage. I did not find this objectionable but it does differ from most kraut in this way. Although it is designed as a condiment so that makes sense. But the flavor is that of a true kraut and not particularly salty. I will be keeping this product in my condiment shelf moving forward!

I had high hopes for this sauerkraut but one taste curdled my lips. Some people may like the extraordinarily tart flavor, but I found it unpleasant. Not Recommended.

I own a very busy concession stand and was looking for a simple way of adding Sauerkraut to our condiment setup. We sell Snoballs and Hot dogs. We do very large events and needed something that was a good quality product that could be added quickly, without leaving a huge mess. This was our answer to our prayers. We asked customers to give their honest feedback since it was a new product that we were trying out. We applied the the Sauerkraut but showed them the bottle. Every customer that tried it we saw their face light up. It was a huge success. Approximately 25 out of 25 who tried it stated that it was really good. One of the customers stated he was from Poland. He said this was the real deal. I will definitely be ordering more soon. Hopefully they sell these buy the case.

What a surprise. We thought we would try it during the super bowl game. Our neighbor is a brat cooking king so we bought one for him and one for ourselves. He cut some of the brats into 1in. pieces,topped them with a health dose of Sauer Frau, put a toothpick in them put on a tray with different kinds of mustard for a dipping sauce...wow , what a hit.Everyone was asking about the kraut.Plus the neighbor made plenty full size brats. The little “1 biters ” were just a tease.Well we ran out of Sauer Frau!Needless to say, everyone love the Sauer Frau squeeze. The loved the flavor, the texture, the ease of using it and, most importantly, no muss no fuss.

I LOVE sauerkraut but this stuff is awful....weird texture too. Still well before expiration date but tastes like it has gone bad. Was really looking forward to taking this camping.
