Bible version manual
This book is great. The author does a great job listing out the reasons the KJV bible is the only pure English translation

Great book: clear defence, written in calm words, and without simply wrong claims
Great book, and will be giving copies to others. It's a clear defence that God preserved his Word in his church. It wasn't entrusted to the pope, not seen for 1800 years, and then "reconstructed" by unbelievers. The book actually quotes the unbelievers as they now have even given up even the purpose of reconstruction.: no one really knows what was written, it was fluid, etc etc.Do you want a Bible with footnotes casting doubt on God's preservation, or do you want a Bible you can trust?I hope this book will serve the purpose if reuniting the English speaking church around a single translation once again. That would be a great witness, instead of the Tower of Babel setting which is the contemporary church.

Great book that is not too technical on the Bible version issue
OVERVIEW: Have you ever wondered why there are so many different kinds of "Bibles" on the shelves at the average Christian bookstore? Do they really all say the same thing? And most importantly, which one truly represents the authoritative Word of God? Do we even have a correct Bible in English that we can trust as the Word of God? This book addresses a very sensitive subject with kindness, candor, authority, and biblical support. Every page points believers to the most biblical, the most logical, and the most historically sensible position regarding the true Word of God for English-speaking people. Writing in a style and with a spirit that touches the life of the average believer, this book is perfect for new Christians or those seeking to cut through the scholarly semantics to the true heart of the matter--in which Bible should we place our complete confidence as the authoritative Word of God? 216 pages, hardcoverWHAT I LIKED: There is much to like about this work. It is not too technical, which makes it the perfect book to share with someone who is new to the issue. This book is also the perfect book to give to someone who does not understand why you hold to the King James Version of the Bible as the Inspired, Preserved Word of God. That is because Dr. Ouellette does a masterful job of giving the facts, information, and position in a kind, civilized way that is different than most of the caustic, mean-spirited books on this issue produced today. Someone who differs with you in their view of the translation may still not agree with you after reading it (they may never agree with you!), but they will not be offended at the tone of the book and turn you away.Another great feature of this book is the fact that terms and definitions used in this book that are unique to the Bible version issue are defined at the bottom of the page they are used on and not in the back of the book. This makes it much easier to understand what you are reading as you read it.One point the author brings out in this book that I appreciated was the fact that in this subject, at the end of the day, there is still a choice of faith that must be made. He says on page 51, "Our position on preservation must be a `faith-based' approach." Dr. Ouellette also does a good job dealing with the issue of inspiration and preservation in chapter 10, page 156.WHAT I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT IT: There is nothing that I can think of that I did not like as I read this book.MY RECOMMENDATION: I fully, and whole-heartedly recommend this book to every Christian who has either wondered about this issue of which Bible version, wants to understand why people like me only use the King James Version, or someone looking to buy a book for someone else who has questions on this issue.

Enormous help if you want the truth without the hype.
This book 'A more sure word" by R.B Ouelette explains why in a kind, logical fashion the KJV is the true Word of God.There is no bashing of the brothers who use other versions, just a clear, precise and crisp look at Bible versions, where they came from and what each camp thinks. There are 10 chapter headings:1.Introduction2.Understanding the spirit of the discussion3.Understanding the terms4.Understanding the trouble5.Understanding the truth6.Understanding the text-part 17.Understanding the text--part 28.Understanding the translations9.Whom will you trust?10.Common MisunderstandingsThe issue of "which Bible is true" is a deep question but one that must be answered by a true student of God, instead of giving up and believing one version over another--one must discover why one believes one version over another not just taking one person,s word for this-- The problem is there is too much emotion on both sides of this issue and too much hard heartedness as well. There are KJVO people who say the KJV literally corrects the Greek and say you cannot be saved apart from the KJV,this being is inconsistent and dishonest with the known facts presented to us.There are some who use the non KJV versions who say the KJV only people are cultic and heterodox, this infighting only weakens the cause of Christ to a lost and dying world. Both camps have intemperate people who belittle other brothers in the faith because of their Bible version views, brethren this ought never to be.Granted this situation is complex and very few believers actually study this issue and what they believe and why they believe it on this all important necessity.Basically as I see it it comes down to 2 points. One camp wants to preserve the words as accurately as possible and the other camp wants to preserve the idea,s the Bible gives as accurately as possible. Then there is the issue of "what do the men believe who did the translating --that to me would speak volumes as to their motives and truth. One camp says God,s word the Bible is an ongoing process that is constantly being refined and evolving while the other camp says the words already here are truth and must be preserved. This issue of "which Bible is true?" certainly does create confusion and doubt among the lost world around us.This is clearly a satanic attempt at keeping the unsaved disgusted and disgruntled at all believers. The study of "which Bible is true?" is an extremely important one that must be answered in one,s heart before one can go on in the deeper things of faith. This book is a part of my quest to assertain truth without rhetoric and name calling.I want to know The truth and be Christlike while pursuing it.

Great book!
Works like this will become more and more important as doubt is cast on the preservation of God’s word, to defend the Byzantine texts and their authenticity.

Amazing
What R.B does is he has the task of taking mass amounts of information and molds it to be palatable about a subject that is so misconstrued. He does all of this while taking a stance that is non offensive and displays the facts to have us do with them what we will. A great read.
