I am both a photographer and a woodworker. I use a LOT of different clamps including lots of different spring clamps.From the clamp standpoint - these are very good. Much, much stronger than your typical cheap Harbor Freight clamps. For the money, they are fantastic.From the photography standpoint - they are OK. The clamps are good but the protective pads don't stay on. On many of them, they simply fall right off from gravity when you open the clamp. I plan to go through them all and glue them on but it's a really annoying shortcoming that without, these would easily be 5 star clamps and would honestly be all I'd ever buy.For the price, they are great.

I'm glad I bought the box of 10 -- I used them all on my first shoot with my new stands and backdrops. I used them to clamp multiple sheets to the crossbar, and to stretch the fabric left and right by clamping to the stands. At one point I had several thicknesses of muslin clamped to the stands and the clips worked just fine. I really like the wide, flat, rubber clamping surface.I read the most negative reviews for this product and with those complaints in mind here is what I noticed about the clips I received: All clips operated properly, all leading edges matched within a few millimeters, I had to hold them right up to my nose to notice a slight rubber/solvent smell, they firmly held multiple thicknesses of muslin, they fit around even the fattest sections of my light stands (Ravelli model ABSL), and so far none of the rubber pads have come off but I can see how easily they could (if I have a problem I'll just glue them on).So for me I'm very happy -- I got a bunch of highly satisfactory clips at a great price.

These clips are great for holding backdrops in place! I use these to clamp up my 10 x 20 black fleece backdrop from Wescott with no problem, my backdrop is heavier than the muslin material. the only problem I have with these are the smell, after airing them outside for a couple days they still smell but not as bad as when you first purchase them. Overall, they serve there purpose

After reading reviews on the plastic clamps I decided to try these by Ravelli, which so far has shown to provide a solid product at a great price. When the box arrived it was heavy. I couldn't remember what I ordered that would weigh so much. When I saw that it was the clips I truly understood why people were saying to stay away from the plastic ones.They have a great grip and a firm pinch allows them to hold your cloth or paper backgrounds with ease. I did think it would be nice if the made the inside of the clip Round so that it fits around the tripod pole perfectly but I am not an engineer, maybe his is the best way.A solid product and worth your investment of you are becoming (like me) are already are a photographer.

These work really well! The smell was just SO BAD that I had to deduct two stars...not sure what materials were used in this or paint or SOMETHING but it was like...off gassing...or...something bad. I'm asian and am used to smelly smells, but this stuff smelled straight up poisonous! I let them air out for a week and they are a little better now.So yes, they work for what they are for but be weary of the fumes!

I bought the 10 pack and I do not need all 10 of them for my studio. I've found they come in handy for a million other things. My kids are young and when they are in the shower, they need to wipe soap out of their eyes quite often. We use one of these to hang an extra towel from the top of the shower enclosure and they have an extra towel for their eyes! That was just for free!Now on to the actual use - hanging muslin from a backdrop. These are inexpensive and rock solid at their job. They work well right out of the box, are well packaged and grip fantastically without being too strong or shaped incorrectly for the job. I would recommend these easily at twice the price!

Ravelli means Quality. First let me say I owed a Photography Studio and Video Production Company for for 16 years. After a bad accident I had to close up shop. Now 10 years later I'm finally able to get back to what I love photography! I purchase everything I need for my new studio from AMAZON and when it come tripods,tripod dollies,background stands,clamps and so on I look to see if Ravelli makes it fisrt. Their quality reminds me of the Bogan of yesteryear (monfroto). Everthing they sell is top quality at affordable prices. Their products always come well packaged on time and some times you get little suprises inside. I just wished they had more products to offer because I would go with Ravelli every time. Keep up the good work Ravelli you have a customer for life.

I bought these because a person in the Q&A section said they fit the 1" pole on the backdrop stand. Sadly, this is the first answer posted and it is incorrect, or at least misleading. These do not have enough bite to reach around the 1" pole and then come together again to grasp the backdrop. The gap when they are closed and not in use is less than 1/2". I saw the hole in the picture, and it looks like 1",and I wanted to be able to have the backdrop clipped in place and be able to slide it on the pole. This style will clamp TO the pole, but not around it. They are, however, good, sturdy quality.

Ravelli 12 Pack of Photo Video Muslin Background Clips. Got two of these when I purchased the Ravelli backdrop stand & thought there were brill, so was delighted to see a pack of 12 could be purchased for under £1 each delivered to my door. They are all metal, no plastic. The jaws have a rubber protective cover. They grip the round backdrop bar and background very well, without slipping or damaging the cloth. The plastic fish shaped ones with plastic orange jaws ping off the bar and can damage the backdrop. There is a hole in the arm, so they can be bolted to the top of a light-stand to hold flags or reflectors. The same clip is also available fitted with a ball-head bolted through this hole to allow articulation. I'm going to buy some ball heads separately. The Ravelli stuff I own is far better quality than a lot of the other Chinese stuff, whilst slightly more expensive, is worth the extra for the quality. The Ravelli backdrop set for example is superb, really sturdy & does not flex or wobble and a bargain at £65. I also received two complementary items, a nice little LED keyring torch and a lens cleaning cloth.

Schwer zu sagen, was hier genau passiert, aber Fakt ist: was man hier für den (teils unglaublichen) Preis geboten bekommt ist schon eine ganze Menge.Die metallischen Klemmen machen einen solide verarbeiteten Eindruck und eigenen sich auch zum Befestigen schwerer Hintergrundstoffe (in meinem Fall schwerer Bühnenmolton). Da die Angaben in den Infos teilweise variieren, hier die von mir ausgemessenen Größen:Klemmenbreite vorne: 75mmKlemmenlänge : 105mmmaximale Klemmöffnung: 60mm (was schon ordentlich Kraftaufwand bedeutet und eigentlich nicht mehr praxisrelevant ist)Öffnung vor dem Klemmgelenk: 15mm (eventuell wichtig, falls die Klammer zuerst noch eine Stange umschließen und dann am Stoff festgeklemmt werden soll)Bei Rezensionen zu Konkurrenzprodukten habe ich immer wieder den Hinweis auf den starken Geruch des Gummis gelesen. Das ist hier nicht der Fall: die Klammern sind bereits ab einer Entfernung von wenigen Zentimetern komplett geruchsneutral.Die eingesetzte Feder ist stramm und benötigt einiges an Kraftaufwand. Aber das ist rein positiv zu verstehen, will man doch, dass die Klammern auch fest sitzen und eine gewisse Zug-/Tragkraft haben.Bei einem Preis von unter 10 Euro für 10 Klammern (dafür bekommt man bei der Konkurrenz teilweise eine einzige Klammer oder maximal 2) gibt es meine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung.

La verdad y, al igual que otros clientes, muy sorprendido con la calidad de estas pinzas, con un tamaño idóneo para usarlas para tensar fondos con trípodes, pudiéndolos enganchar en cualquier grosor de éste, aún no las he estrenado pero sin duda son las pinzas ideales, mucho mejores a las de plástico o a las cromadas que suelen vender en las papelerías, el lacado negro y las puntas con goma, perfectas.Las doce pinzas vinieron en una caja y cada pinza protegida con una bolsa de plástico individual, 1,1 kg de peso total, más la caja de transporte, creo que me irán bien para tensar la parte del fondo que toca el suelo insertando una barilla en su parte trasera y así tener el suelo más plano y sin arrugas (fondos de tela de 3 x 6 m de largo).Las recomiendo, sin duda.

Wow! For the price I did not expect these to be such good quality. Made completely of metal (no plastic) these clamps are brilliant. They must have a good spring inside them because they're very powerful and, when they're in position, my backdrop isn't going to be going anywhere! When they're open at their widest they almost reach 6cm, so slightly wider than advertised. Really happy with this purchase and, if these are a good example of the quality of Ravelli products, then it won't be the last thing I order of their's.

E' il secondo set che compro con mia piena soddisfazione. In questo caso il quesito non è, come per i cavalletti, come possano tener i prezzi tanto bassi coloro che vendono Ravelli, anche se sono molto convenienti. La domanda è come possano i concorrenti tenere i prezzi tanto alti da essere sempre costosi parecchio più del doppio! E per qualità la differenza non esiste, come invece accade per i migliori cavalletti delle migliori marche. L'unica ipotesi possibile che in questo articolo le altre marche cerchino il maggior ricarico possibile, mentre cerchino per gli articoli più famosi e ricercati di essere concorrenziali, come certi supermercati che quasi ti regalano il televisore e poi ti fanno strapagare tutto il resto, dal cavo HDMI al supporto a parete.Per prezzo e qualità questi fermagli a pinza per fondali e sfondi sono ottimi e faranno fedelmente il loro lavoro in qualsiasi occasione serva un tipo di pinza a molla come queste.
