Big things come in little packages.
I normally do not like leaving feedback -- even if I buy something that does not turn out to be as good as it appeared. I feel that I did not do due diligence in my research. That being said, I must say, "I Love These Little Babies." I live in Italy and was having a time finding someone to install them that didn't want to charge me upwards of 3 times what I paid for them (exchange rate is 1.25 to the dollar). Now for the review. I installed them myself, in just about three hours. I wanted to ensure the install looked as professional as possible, and also was done safely. This included wrapping all the wires twice with electrical tape. I found a local car part store and bought a fuse tap (Highly recommended it). I went directly into the fuse box, using the closed side of my inition fuse so it comes on when I turn the bike on. By the way, I installed this unit on a 2009 Yamaha VStar 1100. Initially, when I finished and turned it on, it sounded pretty loud in my enclosed garage. However, when I got on the road I was disappointed that I could barely hear them at just over 45 MPH. When I got home, bummed out and planning on ordering the 800 watt system to replace this one, I remembered the 3.5 mm jack seemed slightly loose when I plug it into my IPod, so I attempted to push it in further -- which it did. Instantly, I noticed the difference in sound. Tomorrow will be a week that they have been installed, and now when I get home from work, I change over into my riding gear, start her up and ride around, with no where to go, just enjoying my tunes. As someone else noted, when you have your IPod (Mine, IPod Touch 4), turned up 3/4 of the way, the in-line volume control still plays pretty loudly even though it is turned all the way down. I have driven on the Autostrada (Europe) at about 80 MPH and can still here my music pretty well, with the volume on the IPod at about 3/4 and the in-line volume control cranked. All that said, I have various genres on my IPod (Classic R&B, Classic Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, Country, etc...) and they all sound good. So, if you want a big bang for your buck, buy these little babies. I have played for several friends who ride and they wanted the link to where I bought them so they can buy a pair. Before the install, I used a pretty good pair of noise-cancelling hi-fi earbuds that when I had the music playing, I could not hear anything else -- even an ambulance right behind me (Can you say, D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S, OR JUST DUMB?). Glad I bought these. At the price I got them, thinking about buying another pair, just to have for later, if these ever have problems.Update all: I upgraded my speakers to the 800 watt pyle speakers and must say I am happier that a cat in a shoebox full of catnip. Only suggestion is for those that if you have the capability, solder your speaker wires to the old connectors. The clips on the 800 watt speakers are not the same and by cutting the wires, and having a very tight fit because of where I mounted the amp, I kept losing connecting everytime I zip-tied my wires.Once again, I am in Italy, and not only do I get to enjoy riding around Europe, but I get to hear my sounds in the process. Does it get any better?

Review - PYLE PLMCA30 Motorcycle Mount Amplified 200 Watt x 2 Stereo Sound System with Dual Handlebar Mount Speakers
All I can say is that I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound of these. At such a low price I really had my doubts. Amazon has such a great return policy I knew I'd just return them if they sucked. And they did NOT suck at all. This was installed on 2005 Harley Davidson FLHRSI (Road King).I set the provided volume control on high, then just used the iPhone volume controls to adjust the volume. I have a windshield that I take on and off. I can hear the tunes good at 70 MPH with the shield on. I only notice if I'm going up a large hill, or over a pass that it gets drowned out by my very loud pipes. But if I'm driving normally I can rock out all day. Installation was easy and took me about 3 hours (mostly from running back and forth to the hardware store. More on that). I agree with another post where it say's the instructions are useless. However, each bike will be different. You need to have a little knowledge about how to run the wires to hide them and some very basic understanding of positive versus negative. The kit comes with an adapter for my wiring harness which makes things extremely simple. The only thing I needed the instructions for was where to put which wire on the adapter for the amp. There are 4 wires, 2 for each speaker that need to be correctly placed. But beyond that, very simple. I did need to come up with additional speaker mounts. The ones provided are for 1" bars. I don't recall it saying that in the ad, but I might have missed it. The local Harley dealer has some that are $70, but they were on back order. So I found some P clamps that are very light duty, have a black rubber backing and cost less than two bucks at the local hardware store. For my 1 1/4" bars I found the 1 1/8" straps give a nice snug clamp (after some trial and error). I did need to make the holes a wee bit bigger with a small drill bit. But that took all of 15 seconds. I'll probably upgrade the clamps at some point, but not in any hurry.I did wash my bike after installing these and just to be on the safe side I put a plastic bag around each speaker. It takes 1 minute and saves me any possible issue that's not natural. No need to drown the poor things.I would highly recommend this to people. Like it was made for my bike
Sounds pretty good for the price - my version 5 iPod works great with this setup. Volume button is very sensitive - maybe that is my negative. I read about all of the difficulties people had with this install and it made me nervous. Wow - a product made in China has poor installation instructions - and people are just figuring that out? Yeah, the instructions are poor but if you have any common sense at all, this isn't that difficult. My only problem was that most of the wires are too long - I have extra wire all over the place. DO NOT CUT THE WIRES!!!! Read the instructions - maybe a couple of times. Lay out the parts and read them again - pick up each part referenced and see if you can figure out where it goes. I put this system on a Harley Soft Tail - it was like it was made especially for my bike. Mount everything BEFORE you start to hook up any wires. You absolutely do not need to cut any wires - splices increase resistance - maybe that is why people are blowing speakers and amps. On an American bike - use the included connector on the front wiring harness plug under the seat to give you the power splice. DO NOT CUT AND SPLICE ANY WIRES. This was strictly plug and play and now the system is tied into your bike power system - if you turn the bike off, the system shuts off - no chance of it catching fire in your garage (really, you hooked it up so it caught fire??) I did it at the same time I hooked up a DC outlet for my Nav system - took about an hour to do it all. Use an old wire hanger to help get the wires under your tank. If you can't even put in a new outlet in your home, maybe you should have this done by a professional - I found it very easy.
