Such a good water bottle. it doesn’t leak.

You have to suck on the spout to drink from it.
I got these for my daughter. She wanted dishwasher safe & leakproof. Her only issue is you can’t just drink from the spout - you have to literally suck on the spout for a drink. She does not like that although it’s probably why they are leakproof.

Perfect Emotional Support Water Bottle
Just ordered my 4th Eddy+ in the last 2 years (because I lose them constantly not because they break). I love this water bottle, when I don't have one, I'm dehydrated. What can I say, I like the sucky straw. They don't leak and survive falls well. My only complaint is that I've lost multiple bite valves due to them popping off while in my purse/backpack but they're not expensive to replace. I will say that the whole valve mechanism is very difficult to reinstall but I'm gross and have sometimes gone a couple of months between washes with no bad taste or ill effects.

Changes (negative) in the top's material and bite valve design... VERY DISAPPOINTING
I've bought CamelBak Eddy bottles for 10+ years and never thought I'd ever not like them. I never had a bottle break and anytime the lid began leaking or other lid issue, CamelBak always sent me a replacement top, which fixed the problem. My last Eddy got rolled around on the floor of a hospital room back in March and I didn't try to clean it or use it for a while afterwards and just got too grossed out when I did go to clean it up. So, I ordered a new Eddy through Amazon recently.CamelBak has tinkered with the Eddy for the worse and I find myself not using it much, when previously these bottles were like an additional limb for me. I'm super disappointed.ISSUE = LID(well, CamelBak product designers and the "Oh, that's a great idea!" team are the real issue, but anyway...)a) The bite valve is now concave rather than level, making it much harder to drink from- much less water flow and the valve is often partially blocking suction as I try to bring the water up through the straw.b) The valve comes off too easily now, and often does come off between my teeth as I'm trying to get the concave valve to open.c) The lid as a whole now looks and feels cheap- dull black, shorter, and has a low-quality texture. Overall, it's like something you'd for at Dollar Tree (I like Dollar Tree, but it's not where I want my bottles from).d) The open tab area that comes up from the lid is now at a lower angel and does not go out as far from the lid. That means you don't have as much room for your fingers or hook pegs or whatever you might try to pass through the opening. I used to hold these bottles by the tab area when walking with it, but it's now no longer comfortable to do so.a,b,c,d!) WORST OF ALL,... it seems these changes were made for the benefit of CamelBak, not us (or something went wrong between the design plan and the implementation of it). Their website is touting the top as being interchangeable with its other bottles and hot liquid containers. That doesn't matter to me at all, why would it?? Each vessel comes with a top and so I wouldn't need an interchangeable one. If the top to one crapped out, I'd use the lifetime warranty and ask for a new top for that vessel... like I've always done. If I ruined the top, I'd buy a new top or new bottle, not switch a top between two vessels for ever more.Summary: BAD MOVE/ BAD DESIGN, CamelBak.I guess I should be glad that CamelBak didn't "improve" the bottle itself. Thankfully, it still seems to be the same. Here's hoping CamelBak RE-UNIMPROVES the Eddy lid!!

Awesome redesign of the classic bottle!
I've been using Camelbak Eddy bottles for at least the past 10 years. They are the perfect bottles to bring with you to work, outside, or the gym. I mainly use my bottles at the gym where I can easily carry it around and get a quick drink of water whenever I need. What I love about the Eddy bottles is that they are durable and leak-proof. I never have to worry about my bottles cracking when dropped or leaking all over my backpack, and I've dropped many of them! The new redesign of the Eddy+ bottle bring some welcome changes. First of all, the loop on the bottle is bigger. Now instead of only being able to fit one finger though the loop you can now put 3 fingers through it. Now I feel like I'm less likely to drop the bottle when carrying it around the gym.The spout also got a small redesign. Instead of the spout being convex, it is now concave. I didn't know how I felt about the change at first, but it's proven to be very useful. I feel like you can get slightly more water out of the spout and there's a handy spot for your tongue to rest (if you like putting your tongue against your water bottle?)Lastly, the top of the bottle has been slightly redesigned. There's no longer a screw under the spout like on the old bottle. I often found that grime would get caught in this screw from time to time and you'd need to manually scrub it, but it is now gone. The Eddy bottle is a challenge to clean by hand. CamelBak sells scrubbing kits just to clean their bottles. I've found that if I put the bottles, straws, and lids in the dishwasher after use, the bottles come out sparkling clean. From experience I've found that only washing the bottles by hand without using a scrubbing brush allows grime to buildup in the bottle over time no matter how often you wash the bottle. You have to be EXTRA careful to clean inside the spout, under the lid, and where the straw connects to the lid. I've found that if you ignore these places, black mold spots are guaranteed to grow after a while.Overall I love these CamelBak bottles and the new redesign is definitely a step in the right direction for me! I'll definitely buy more of these when I inevitably lose my current bottle.

Dissatisfied
I have used the Camelbak range for a long time and have had no issues or problems until this new bottle cap! The bite valve has restricted the flow of fluid you receive compared to the previous cap. It also catches your beard whilst sipping, I know this sounds strange but gets rather frustrating after its happens a few times!! Another issue is, could be down to me but when I'm using it in the gym I often bite the valve and drink whilst on the move when my hands are full, the new bottle however isnt capable of holding its weight and the bite valve falls off and the bottle goes rolling around the gym. Lastly it feels cheap and looks cheap, I am dissatisfied with this product and it's a shame to say so! Unfortunately I wont be buying one of these again and will buy the older version.

Highly recommended!
Excellent upgrade from slightly inferior, older version (due to broken spout button after 1year of frequent use). This new version facilitate also easier and better cleaning of the spout channel inside, thus more hygienic and healthier. Daily use at work to keep hydrated. Easy to take sip -s 'on run' or in car without risk of spillage on your spotless shirt or clothing/ suit.Transparent bottle allows to keep easily an eye on remaining drink level. No scratches, no cracks despite unintentional drops or bangs. Highly recommend for health conscious busy professionals!Planning to use the same cover and straw with stainless steel, single wall Nalgene bottle for bushcraft / adventure / survival purposes. This use not tested yet...

More complicated and temperamental than the old design
Firstly, just to say this item is blue like the picture, not red like the title. Be nice if the seller could be bothered to list it accurately.Moving on. At first, they worked fine (I bought two) but my wife took it apart to clean it, like the old style ones, and it turns out to be very hard indeed to get the central tube back in again, though it can be cleaned without removing it. Once that was established, everything went well for a few weeks. Then, suddenly, I've started leaking terribly. On closer inspection it turns out there's a little rubbery valve that actually seems to come out quite easily and can be lost, without which it leaks. See pictures with and without the valve and the valve itself. I haven't been able to find a replacement.

Not impressed!
I purchase 2 eddy 750mil a few years ago and was impressed! I needed new Bite valves and can't get them anywhere!! So I ordered an eddy+ looked alright but after a wash the bite valve is very loose, lift it to take a drink and soapy water flower out of holes in the cap and all over me not nice!!! Not impressed!

An improved version
After using the previous version I much prefer this newer one. The mouthpiece is softer, it’s easier to drink from and the flow is greater for less effort. The colour is stunning and I’ve since purchased a second one so I have one at home and one at work. It’s not hugely different, if you like the original Eddy then you will like this, there’s just minor tweaks that greatly improves using it.
