Warhammer doesnt disappoint.
"It was a dark and stormy night" as I settled down in my recliner with a six pack of Guiness and my favorite snacks at hand. The flashing lightning and audible thunder added visual and auditory effects to the living literary battles coming to life in this book. Treachery surrounded me! My senses were heightened as I fully expected an Orc or Skaven to intrude upon my protected den of solitude (my trusty dog was by my side possibly waiting for a dropped snack). The beer ran out and the snacks were soon devoured but I continued to read this riveting Warhammer novel. When I was done I feverishly looked for other installments of these stories.

Great Book
This is a great book, but so far I have noticed one flaw. On page 26, Nakka was speaking to Skraffi and said, "Angbobk women..." The problem is that dwarfs are not men or women, and don't like to be referred as such. I don't think this flaw was intenional, but as a Warhammer fan I noticed it right away.

Tapes of a people whose time has come and gone
The book covers multiple stories if the dwarves of the Warhammer universe. Throughout you get a sense of the duty they uphold. The war of vengeance is explained which was a solid read.Overall the book is a fun read if you are a fan of dwarves, and duty.

What to say
An interesting look into the race of the dawi. I was pleasantly surprised at how well all the authors that contributed to this were able to keep a very consistent style and were able to link very disparate stories together. All in all a great piece of literature

Epic dwarf tales.
Great read!!! If you live the stoic dwarf race, battles, beer, and beards then look no further. Sit back with your pipe and a tankard of ale or 6 and read this book. Great story telling about my favorite fantasy genre.

Hitting all the Classic Tropes
This is a decent, though not great, collection of novels and short stories about dwarfs, set in the Warhammer setting. It pretty much reinforces all the classic tropes and stereotypes about dwarfs, from their taciturn nature, to their dislike of elves and greenskins of various types. There's nothing all that original here, but the stories seem to get weaker as the book goes on. In my opinion the Gav Thorpe offerings are just a bit more interesting and better written. It would be nice to see a writer break away from these old themes. How about tales of a great alliance between dwarfs and some other race(s)? Or a dwarf character who is upbeat and outgoing? So it's not original, but not terrible either. If you enjoy Warhammer fiction and dwarfs, this will be good enough, I suppose. But don't expect the lofty prose of Tolkien or even the vapid fluff of Salvatore in terms of the writing.

Good for curious people...
....regarding the Dawi. This anthology features four novels and two short stories (Ancestral Honour, City of Dead Jewels) which unfortunately weren't mentioned in the content list. Definitely worth every cent spent.
