Hy-KoProducts ST-3 Number & Letter Stencils, 3 Inch, Tan

I bought these HY-KO Products ST-5 Number & Letter Stencils, 5 INCH, Tan to put my address on three sides of an address post (a 4x4 white vinyl sleeve over 4x4 wood). I went with stencils instead of raised numbers because 1. For three sides it was a cheaper option than buying raised numbers 2. The painted on numbers do not stand off the post like raised numbers which means my lighted LED top cap won't cast shadows on all but the top # (vertically aligned numbers).The pre-cut numbers (I just used numbers) came out easily. They could be more thick, but I thought they were reasonable for the price. I tried a number out on our blue trash can and it looked pretty good. You couldn't see the black over spray of paint that gets between the stencil and painted object too bad. Lighter surfaces are more challenging. I put a few small magnets (using them only as small weights) on each number to help hold the stencil down and minimize the gap, but you will get over spray between. My white vinyl 4x4 sleeve showed the over spray a lot, but I just used some isopropyl alcohol and q-tips to wipe the over spray up. That worked pretty well as the light dots of over spray come up easy, but the intended areas where it is solid paint doesn't come off easily.For the price, I should have ordered a 2nd. My address has two 5's in it so I had to do the address minus the 2nd five and then later add the 2nd five. I saved them as even though I used each one 3 times and the fives 6 times, they have plenty of life left in them for future address retouching.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE STENCILS!!!! They are thin enough to work with easily yet thick enough so they don't tear easily and they stay stiff, even after getting saturated with paint from continuous multiple use in the two solid days I used them to make my deterrent hunting signs to try and keep hunters honest out here in the boonies (CCTV cameras will hopefully help this year too!).These stencils come with only one letter or number per card and each card is darn near the same size so they're super easy to line 'em up on your board, tape 'em down and spray paint or color in. Not near as much measuring and prep work as with the first set of stencils I unfortunately bought and wasted money on that were way too bendy plastic and had so many letters and symbols crammed onto one card that cutting them out in easy to use "squares" (like these cardboard ones) was virtually impossible. Plus, these are LESS THAN HALF the price as the crappy blue plastic ones!! They were also very easy to punch out if you're patient and take your time with them. I WILL be buying these again as needed. Love 'em!

I’ll start off by saying these letters come perforated - NOT ready to use. It took me a good 15 minutes to very carefully remove each letter. The cardstock is very thin and a bit fragile. They can definitely be reused if you handle them carefully. Some of the letters come with two copies but it’s very random which ones. And this set also includes numbers and symbols which is convenient. Overall, you get what you pay for but it definitely got the job done and I’m satisfied. Just took a lot longer than expected with having to remove the perforations and be extra careful handling them.If my review was helpful, please let me know!

Did what I needed. Thin material, good for several jobs perhaps.

These were perfect. Made from tough paper I used some of them 5 or 6 times (created 8 t-shirts with wording on them). There are all letters of the alphabet included, doubles of some of the more popular ones, numbers 1-9 and also a few punctuation signs. The only one missing was the hashtag!One piece of advice, hold them down firmly and don't overload the paintbrush, if there is too much paint on it it sometimes seeps under the stencil and botches it up a little. I did a test run and figured out the best technique beforehand, and was very happy with the result.

You get what you pay for. They performed great for my needs. Probably wouldn't last a long time with repeated use but for this kind of money you know what you're getting. My only complaint is I had to remove all the 'inards' of every letter out of the box. They were punched on a machine but the insides were never removed. Not a big deal but thought I should mention that. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought these to put our home address on our curb. These worked great.Since our address repeats a number, I used one stencil to make another and then was all set. Tape your numbers together with painter's tape so they can be separated without tearing.Very happy. If you need repeated letters or numbers, buy two.

12 in letters great for large signs. Great quality. Comes in a heavy plastic case.
