I have used this product for years and have gotten consistent results! Lasts for a good 30 days and it is completely natural.

I enthusiastically give this product 5 stars because the color is BEAUTIFUL and completely natural looking (my hair looks younger, thicker, and healthier, not "dyed"). More importantly, the dyes are non-toxic. However, some caveats: the application process is MESSY and rather involved. You will need to set aside a couple of hours to prepare, apply, and then clean up. Dedicate (permanently) mixing bowls and stirrers to the dye process. Put down drop cloths or newspaper to protect your work area. A couple of hours of messy work for several weeks of beautiful color -- I've decided that that's a trade-off I can handle. I have reordered, and I think that is the highest praise.:-)

This Henna color the Grey is fantastic! This two step system is what really covers the grey, and it's the only brand that I've found that works. It takes time but for me it's worth the great results without all those destructive chemicals. This color was a little to dark for me, but thats my fault in not choosing the correct color. I'll be trying different colors to find that perfect match but I will stick with Light Mountain Natural color the grey.

I don't care how well my hair turns out, it is not worth the time and mess. Expect to spend at least two hours coloring and another half hour cleaning up. Also the directions are vague. It says to let the colors stand 10 - 30 minutes. How do I know when it's done? That's a large time differential. I love the fact it's cruelty free, but I'm going to have to go back to the other cruelty free product I used even though it costs a little more.

Arrived on a Sunday! The two step process can be a bit messy and time-consuming but provides great coverage and my mostly grey hair turns out soft and bouncy. I ditch the gloves and cap provided and use surgical gloves and shower caps or conditioning caps. I also use foam brushes to saturate my roots. I use this product regularly, every 6-8 weeks, and am pleased with the results.

I was forced to stop using hair dye, either salon or box because of allergies. I tried this. It is a big fat joke. Two bags of powdery crap that you must reconstitute, and put one bag of glop on for up to 4 hours, then the second bag for up to 4 hours. Then, it only lasts up to 4 weeks. 4-get it.

Works great! After using Lush's henna dye for a few years, I wasn't expecting much in terms of coverage. Boy was I wrong--after following the directions that came in the package, my grays are completely covered, and any variation in saturation looks super natural. I have already ordered more boxes and expect to use this as a natural alternative to traditional hair coloring in the future.

At first I was annoyed at adding a whole new step to the process but it really didn’t take that much more time and effort to cover up the gray SO MUCH BETTER!

A 2 step process to cover grey, but so easy and long lasting. Love the chestnut. Not sure why others have commented on smell. Most products have a smell, but this product only has an earthy/grassy smell. If you mow your own lawn, you will be fine. Rather that, than chemicals. The instructions that come with may seem cumbersome. Lots of videos on line. But once you do it, the second time becomes easy. My roots grow twice over and the color still holds. I have short hair and the box will do 3+ separate colourings. I add some aloe Vera powder to step 2, which will soften hair more than without.

I have always loved Light Mountain henna, and Color the Gray does all that it promises to do. This color is a bit different from medium brown in that it shows coppery highlights in my hair, and it, like the other colors, lasts a long, LONG time!! Additionally, having short hair I find I can easily get three colorings from one box of product, with some left over.

Not suitable for beard and mustache.
