Good value and great at juicing
Bought this as I wanted to start the new year a bit healthier. For the money, I thought this would probably be cheaply made but wanted an inexpensive introduction to slow juicing so gave it a go. The machine is sturdy, the plastic is strong and the blade handles everything I have thrown at it with ease. There were a few "straining" noises from the motor when I first started but I soon learned to cut the carrots up a it smaller and put a mixture of ingredients down the feeder instead of all the same kind at once: i.e some celery, kale, apple, orange, kale, more celery, bit ginger, more kale, etc and it juiced it all fine leaving a fairly dry pulp at the end. From the picture of the pulp you will see the strawberries looked a bit moist at the end but carrots, kale, apples, pears and other hard veg/fruit all extracted well and the produced a fairly dry pulp.I noticed my skin looked better within a week and after the first couple of days drinking the juice my toilet habits returned to normal, in fact they were better than before. And, because you aren't eating all that fibre there is no flatulence or smelly bathroom afterwards! Be warned though that for the first couple of days you may need to dash to the toilet, especially if drinking a large quantity of the juice all at once. I read that you should consume your juice as the same pace it would take you to eat all the produce put into it, so I make mine last the morning despite the look of horror on my colleague's faces who see me sipping something which looks like Kermit had a nasty fall into a liquidiser.Like all juicers its not a dream to clean but most of the pulp is ejected from the rear of the machine. It comes with a cleaning brush and as long as you clean up straight away...I put mine under a running tap...it cleans up well and only needs a quick shake around in a basin of hot soapy water and final rinse.I used to spend anything from £2 a day upwards for some prepacked bottles which contain less than half the quantity I'm getting now and probably sit in shop chillers for weeks if not months...£10-£12 can but a lot of FRESH produce at certain German supermarkets which surely contains more vitamins and antioxidants plus all the "live" elements of slow-pressed juice which makes it so healthy. I spend 5-10 mins prepping the night before and 10 mins the following morning juicing and cleaning up. I just leave the cleaned machine on the draining board and its dry and ready for me to assemble when I get home after work.A great little machine if you are unsure if juicing is for you or these kind of gadgets end up back in the cupboard after a few weeks. Plus, at the same price point as the fast power-juicers which apparently make the juice oxidise and removes some of the health benefits, you can't go wrong. And it comes with a 2-Year Manufacturers warranty.

Doesn't like celery, lasted about 5 juices!
The media could not be loaded. I decided to try out the celery juice craze and bought this masticating juicer especially for the purpose. The first couple of times it worked fine but the top was sometimes very hard to undo after juicing however, after about 2-3 juices it began to play up. The motor would stutter for no reason with celery getting stuck (shown at the beginning of the video I've uploaded) but then it would run normally again. If I tried using the reverse button to unblock it would trigger the RCD on my Consumer Unit and shut down all my electrics as at the very end of the video! The last time I used it, the lid was jammed so hard (to the bottom that holds the spinning part) that I thought I was going to break it! I eventually got it apart after about 15 minutes of trying but never used it again! I also tried juicing cucumber with it, which it didn't like either maybe because it's too soft? I ordered the Amazon Choice as a replacement (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Masticating-Electric-Extractor-Nutrient-Vegetable/dp/B079M38VGR/) and so far it works fine although the feeding chute is smaller and it might be less efficient in the amount of juice obtained. It also looks much more attractive as well as being a bit cheaper. This one is going back for a refund.

Good Quality and Excellent Results at an Affordable Price
This machine was very easy to use and gave excellent results, with no need to strain the resulting juice. It was also easy to clean and easy to store, two things which are very important to me. Its also very reasonably priced, which is also important to a couple of pensioners! No waste, as any pulp can be very easily composted. Compact and space conserving, which is important in my small kitchen. Well packaged also so arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition. I highly recommend!

Broken juicer bought in Sept 19
Second time I bought this and it’s broken again. Not a great juicer

good value, works v well
cut celery into pieces! don't put anything too hard - eg. dry lemon skin. Although this does a gret job I don't think it will last long, and quite a lot of pulp remains in the works. Not as easy to clean as you expect as small fibres stick, but supplied brush is helpful

Very nice juicer for carrots, highly recommend.
Very well made, quiet operation, good size intake for vegetables, remarkable value for money compared to other juicers, handy stopper plug for juice outlet. Good separation gap between juice and waste chutes. About as easy to clean and assemble as other juicers. Undoing the top is a little stiff at first from new.

Product works well, just breaks quickly
Product juices well, and it fun to use (my 5-year old nephew enjoyed juicing fruit!)However, after about 10 juices a loud bang occured, grinding noises began.Ironically the product broke down a week after the returns policy and am unable to return it.

Best Juicer I have bought.
Being a fan of CookHouse I thought I would buy the Slow Juicer..... 1: because my other one has died and 2: so far everything I have bought from CookHouse has been perfect and the prices are really good too!!!!The Juicer is bigger than my last one, but that was a cheap and cheerful one anyway, this one you can feel by the weight of it that it's going to be good. All the attachments are solid and easy to remove and cleaning is really simple. The Juicer will separate the pulp from the juice so you don't need to strain, you also don't need to chop the fruit into smaller pieces, as the opening will fit many uncut fruits. Plus there is also a Sorbet basket as well that I'm going to try next, but my main reason was for getting this machine was so have more healthier drinks for myself and my family and this Juicer is certainly getting used, especially when the kids are involved, we're making some weird and wonderful coloured drinks...…..all round a big and healthy hit. Well worth buying.
