Perfect for track rod ends
Can be used for bottom ball joints, where I clamp tool on tight and quick tap with mallet, but for track rod ends this bit of kit makes it a 5 minute job

It works
I was trying to split ball joints on a Rover p5 and was having no luck with a “tuning fork” style one (Sykes pickavant) ordered this arrived next day and the joints were split in seconds. Recommended

Broke first time out
Snapped first time out while trying to remove tie rod end on an old Jeep Cherokee. Its cheap for a reason. However they refunded me no questions asked so at least I'm not out of pocket.

You got to hammer it hard into the joint

I used this tool to separate the track rod ends on my MGB, it fitted and worked well.When using, I found it necessary to wind in the load, and then give the joint or the tool a sharp tap with a hammer so the shock would help break the joint.It is IMPORTANT to wrap something (towel) around this tool, to keep everything in one place when the joint separates.

Works great for track rod ends, does not work so well for ball joints on the wish bone.

Broke on the 3rd Joint
Worked really well on 2 ball joints, but then broke on the 3rd. I got more milage just hitting the joints with a hammer.
