Really good addition to the series. :D
4-4.5 starsThis was a really good story. I really liked Zoe and Trevor and enjoyed their story. It was a really fun and entertaining story that I was drawn in to from the beginning.Zoe is a good woman but hasn't had a good life. She grew up in foster care (she was moved around a lot with a total of 153 foster parents over the years) and has done her best to make a life for herself. She hasn't had much luck with men and has no current relationships. Zoe’s job situation went from sad to none when she ended up getting fired from her job for the travesty of finding out a partner’s wife was stealing from the company.Trevor is a lovable jerk. He is one of those guys that isn't really a bad guy but is very uncaring about others at times. He tends to be self-centered and doesn't pay attention to things that don’t directly affect him or cause him an issue. He has an idea of his “perfect woman” and isn't willing to look at any woman that doesn't live up to his high standards.Zoe is having a very bad day (having just gotten fired from her job for finding the theft) and gets home, only to have it get worse due to Trevor. Zoe lives in a duplex and Trevor lives on the other side from her. She doesn't realize he owns the building but instead thinks he’s just the nephew of the owner but even though he’s a pain in her butt, she doesn't complain about him because she figures it’ll do no good. That night however, Trevor does multiple things to piss her off and the straw that breaks the camel’s back is when Trevor steals her pizza delivery order. They fight and Trevor makes some really jerky comments that upsets Zoe and makes Trevor feel guilty for saying them. Due to his guilt, Trevor decides to make an effort with Zoe and find out what caused her bad day. When he finds out that Zoe lost her job, he lets her know that his uncle needs a secretary for his construction business and offers to help her get the job. He also offers her some extra money in exchange for running errands and cleaning his place for him in her spare time. Zoe gets the job and gets the full Bradford experience since there are multiple members of the family work for the company. This included Jason & Haley, from book #1, Playing for Keeps, since they’re both working for the construction company for some extra cash over summer break. Over the next few months, Zoe gets settled in to her new job(s) and things start going better. Zoe and Trevor don’t socialize much but they do have some interactions, the most interesting is the fact that Trevor got Zoe to start reading to him (the Twilight trilogy) at night before bed…through the walls since they’re so thin they can hear each other easily.Trevor and Zoe continue on for a few months as friendly acquaintances/co-workers. Zoe decides to diet and ends up losing around 30 pounds and starts feeling better about her body. Trevor finds himself more and more attracted to Zoe, noticing himself checking her out without realizing what he’s doing. He tries to keep their interactions platonic but that comes to a halt when Trevor sees Zoe in a bar and looking to pick up a guy. Trevor decides that he’s unwilling to let her jump in to bed with a stranger and (after chasing off a few guys trying to pick her up) ends up taking her home (against her wishes but she’s pretty drunk by then so it’s for the best). Trevor and Zoe talk the next day and come to an agreement to become sex-buddies (but just sex, no emotions outside of friendship). As they start their arrangement, things go pretty well. Trevor is happy with the sex and finding Zoe to be a good companion. Zoe enjoys the arrangement as well but tries to be careful not to let herself feel any emotions for Trevor so she doesn't end up with a broken heart. Their arrangement continues this way for a few months and at first they do pretty well at keeping things light but they soon start to realize that they’re enjoying their togetherness a little too much. As Trevor starts feeling more for Zoe, he realizes he might not be able to work Zoe out of his system and maybe he wants her to be with him more permanently. Zoe would like something more as well but can’t bring herself to believe that Trevor would ever fall for her when she’s surprised that their sex-only relationship lasted as long as it has up to this point. Trevor ends up deciding to tell Zoe he wants to change their relationship but he doesn't do very well at it and instead he just pisses Zoe off. This causes some problems and Zoe tries to push Trevor away in an effort to safeguard her heart. Thankfully, this doesn't work very well but Trevor does have some work to do to get her to believe in him and his feeling for her. Thankfully (with some work) Trevor and Zoe end up happily together and starting their HEA.This was a really good story. Zoe and Trevor were really good together and I was rooting for them to get their acts together and realize just how good they could be together. I just wish that Zoe hadn't had such a low self-opinion but was glad she finally got past it. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. I’d recommend this book. Thumbs up. :D* note - I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a very good job.

I' m still laughing hours after reading this book.. What a great read.
I loved the last book, but believe it or not.... this one was even better. I have never laughed so hard in my life, as I did reading this story. In the beginning I have to admit, I wanted to reach out and slap Trevor a few times. I'm glad to say that he fully redeemed himself by the half way mark. His family members are so dang hysterical. And I see that Haley's grandma from the last book made an appearance in this one too, although only very briefly. The eating habits of the male members of the family, really end up getting them all into trouble. I can totally relate, since I grew up with three older brothers with the same eating habits...and sadly... they never gained a pound either. My sister and I on the other hand, if we so much as smelled the stuff, we gained ten pounds. It's just not fair, so I found myself sympathizing a lot with Zoe on that front.. The funniest part for me at least, is when Trevor was trying to convince Zoe that he really loved her and wanted to marry her...and Jason pipes up and tells him 'What ever you do dude... don't try to kidnap her, take my word on that.. it doesn't turn out too good' I laughed so hard I couldn't catch my breath. Because that's exactly what Jason did with Haley, and it didn't turn out so well, if anything...it made thing a lot worse then it already was.Life has not treated Zoe very well in the past, and now things have become even worse then they were before. Hard to believe when you've been abandoned by your parents and lived in foster care all your life, right? But yes, for every two steps Zoe takes forward, life has a way of making her take 3 steps back again.Zoe has a weight problem for one, due to binge eating, although that's completely normal with the way she grew up. Kids like her start to wonder where and when their next meal might come along. Now she's just lost her job, because she turned one of the boss's wife in for embezzlement. Very unfair, but it is what it is. Now she has no job, and she has to look for a cheaper place to live. Her car is a piece of crap, but at least it's paid for. She does finally find a new apartment, and it's not only cheaper, but it's a lot nicer then the last one. At least she thought it was before she runs across a self centered, Trevor, who not only takes up part of her parking space, but also steals her paper and her pizza delivery. Then she finds out that the walls between the two units are paper thin. She can hear everything, including his t.v., and his snoring.Trevor is not a perfect person by no means. His father left him and his mother behind when he found out that Trevor was Dyslexic. He was taunted by the kids in school to the point that he wanted to just quit. Even his closest friends shunned him when they found out. Thankfully his Uncle took him under his wing and turned him into a well respected man. But he still has a lot of trust issues to work out, even now. The only people he can trust now is his family. He's also become very jealous of his cousin Jason over the years. He has everything that Trevor ever dreamed of, plus he was smart as hell without even having to try.Zoe has always had to depend on herself, so she certainly didn't expect any help from the loud jerk next door. So when Trevor steals her pizza and makes her cry by making a crude remark about her weight problem, she was surprised by his genuine concern. He goes to her and listens to everything that has happened to her recently, and feels so bad for treating her the way he did. Then he not only gets her a job as his Uncle's secretary, but he also gives her a part-time job, that involved cleaning his house and doing his shopping for him, too. What she didn't expect was the once in a lifetime opportunity that he offers her through an arrangement where they both benefit and no one is supposed to get hurt, but she should have known better because her luck has never been that good.Soon they become fast friends and they spend more and more time together. Trevor found himself thinking about Zoe much more then he'd like, but he couldn't help that. She was the first person who made him laugh, and he had realized that she was the first person to bring such joy back into his life again. Will they end up more than just being friends in the future? Or will their relationship fizzle and die altogether?Would I recommend this book? YES!!! Most definitely.

I totally recommend this friends with benefits neighbours romance it was a blast.
This second book focuses on Jason’s cousin Trevor who we meet briefly in book one. Trevor has somewhat of a complex when it comes to his cousin believing he doesn’t quite measure up hence when he finally chooses a partner to share his life with he wants her to be perfect. When he encounters his tenant Zoe she is the complete opposite to all of his usual conquests she’s dumpy and plain and carrying some extra pounds. After he manages to insult her he is racked with guilt and when she mentions having to give up her tenancy after losing her job he finds himself suggesting an alternative working for the family’s construction firm as the office manager/secretary. He also employs her as his general dogsbody so cleaning chores and also stocking his bottomless fridge as Jason has obviously inherited the family food obsession just like his cousin. So Trevor at the beginning of this came across as a bit of an ass he doesn’t stand up for Zoe when others make fun of her though he does internally wince. He also sees her as not hot enough for him believing her lack of looks will reflect negatively on him in short he’s ashamed to admit even initially to even himself that he’s attracted to her. His expectations on who he should date and then marry and his list of ridiculous requirements for said female the only thing he can have seem to focus on and Haley definitely doesn’t fit the mould. I definitely wanted to rip Trevor a new one.He fights his attraction tooth and nail clinging to his idea of the perfect counterpart on his arm and in his life. Zoe by contrast is sweet funny and after a time in life that has ground her down finally getting back to who she once was. She’s a foster kid so as such is very self sufficient. She attempts to brush off the hurtful remarks she overhears but can’t help being cut deep allowing it to influence her behaviour around food causing her to then resort to drastic measures thinking herself lesser when really she’s perfect as she is and anyone who can’t accept that fact doesn’t really deserve her including Trevor. When the two make a mutually beneficial agreement friends with benefits Zoe because she is not ready for a relationship and Trevor well he says the same but he really still wants his perfect ideal and feels this will get her out of his system well things start to change for both of them. Behind close doors they can’t keep there hands off each other but away from home it’s business as usual as Trevor keeps his arrangement with Zoe hidden from all else. There’s a few road bumps in the road a massive epiphany for Trevor and Zoe and plenty of red hot passion. When Trevor finally realises how badly he’s messed up and how screwed up his behaviour has been towards the only girl he’s ever cared about he then does a complete u-turn attempting to convince Zoe of his feelings which obviously she’s sceptical of especially considering the circumstances. Trevor is actually quite clueless all things considered. Now he’s stuck trying to convince the woman he loves that she’s his entire world and that he’s genuine. Zoe literally snuck up on Trevor she doesn’t match even one single tick on his stupid list but she’s the one he now ultimately wants if only he can convince her of this fact. This was another five star read for me and again these two have such a connection even with all of Trevor’s stupidity. I did give Trevor some leeway basically because of his complete cluelessness at heart he’s not a bad guy just blinkered and initially a tad thoughtless. I liked that this wasn’t a rehash of the prior book and that it felt distinct. We also get to catch up with Jason and Haley another bonus and get treated to another excellent epilogue. I totally recommend this friends with benefits neighbours romance it was a blast.

An easy read. Good story.
Zoe did wonder why her new apartment was so cheap but having lost her job she didnt have much of a choice. Trevor was the guy next door and her landlord. He leaves mud all over the hallway, generally makes a lot of noise especially when he has friends around and when she is having a shower he doesnt wait for her to finish and she ends up freezing. After they meet he gets her a job with his uncle and pays her to keep his place clean and generally look after him. He starts to like having her around and they start a sort of friends with benefits except Trevor can stop thinking about her. She has no idea he wants more as originally he wasnt exactly kind about her figure. Its a funny story and worth a read.

Perfect Imperfections
This is the second book in the Neighbour from hell series and its awesome. I could not put this book down, this author draws me in and I could not be happier about it.Trevor is a typical Bradford male, obsessed with food and irrestible to women. He has a picture in his mind of the perfect woman and nothing is going to change that or that is what he thinks. Trevor isn't the most like-able character in the beginning you get the feeling that he thinks women should be grateful for any attention he gives them especially his tennant Zoe.Zoe shares a house with Trevor who she believes is her landlords nephew and she has just had the day from hell, she lost her job and wanting nothing but to hide away from the world and comfort eat and deal with real life tomorrow except Trevor destroys all her plans when he steals her pizza and uses the last of her washing powder she decides that enough is enough and tells Trevor exactly everything that she dislikes about him. Only to find out he is actually the landlord and when he speaks without thinking insulting her weight she turns and walks away.Trevor has never spoken to a woman like that before but there is something about Zoe that gets to him in a way that no other woman ever has before and he finds himself helping her get a job and also she becomes his housekeeper. Before long there is more to the arrangement than either was expecting and Trevor finds himself looking for excuses to be around Zoe.Zoe is finally getting her life together in the way that she wants after dieting she is feeling better about herself and wants more out of life and they embark on a friends with benefits scenario. Can things really be as simple as that or will feelings get in the way and can Trevor give up on the idea of a perfect woman and show Zoe how he really feels before he loses her for good????I loved Zoe and Trevor and how their relationship evolved, they were sweet and they have such great chemistry. This is one series I know I am going to read more than once.

Romantic comedy at it's best
No plot spoilersNo potential triggersThere are numerous editorial errors that irritated but didn't kill the book (missing words etc) I was surprised by them because the book is so good. The characterisation is outstanding because even at the end of the book I was in two minds about him.The plotline is totally whacky and laugh out loud funny.I do love this series and will continue to read the following books.
