New BalanceMen's Heritage Golf Shoe

I have worn the various iterations of the NB 990 shoes for decades, even as they have become increasingly expensive. I wear them more than everything else in my closet combined. Fit well, good support, last probably as long as this type of shoe would be expected to last. I move the older shoes down to workshop, yard, eventually trash as they deteriorate. Excellent.

I love these sneakers. Great fit. American made. Great support. Long lasting. Only criticism is they get dirty easily and they are pricey.

Years ago, an Army recruiter, who wears 990's raved and extolled the superiority of the 990 shoe.I personally found my perfect shoe made by Redwing decades ago! They discontinued making them and I NO longer had any shoe that would easily satisfy and make my fussy feet happy! 990's are an expensive shoe, but on trusting this Army recruiter's advice I tried on several pair and purchased a pair of 990 shoes from Nordstrum, a New Balance dealer. Now I live three hours of driving away from a well stocked Nordstrum's store and knowing the exact size I need, I purchase online now. My first purchase was over ten years ago! Don't tell New Balance, but this 990 shoe is not expensive at all when you consider how extremely durable their construction is and how comfortable they make my feet (and my feet are very fussy about being comfy plus!) The longevity of their no wear out is beyond belief. (...especially, over time, walking in other shoes, the outside heals wear away, so the outside heal is missing over time and my feet walk at an slanted angle... not good!) Over time, I now have quite an investment in the 990 shoes. Four pair of shoes. White, Gray, Black and Blue. For the Army recruiter and I... before you buy your next shoe, I very strongly encourage you to try on just one pair of 990 New Balance shoes at well stocked Nordstrum's before buying another 'not the most-comfy' shoe made. Why companies change winners I will never know. Bought these to replace an ancient pair of 992s bought about the time Steve Jobs wore a pair at an Apple Corporate meeting. Went from 9 to 9 1/2. Not as spacious in the toe area. Laces are much shorter, and the shoes were pre-laced. Maybe after wear they will stretch. Note to corporate, you change, and the customer has an opportunity or reason to change. Is it a reject that a company or reseller bought and are selling as original. Did not come in a New Balance Box. Insert in left shoe has only partial writing on it. Wonder if it was worn off or factory missed the error. Just wondering. Shoe was already lased. Should I keep or return. Probably keep, but next time will go to actual New Balance Store. Although the shoe is 1/2 size larger, it is too tight. The laces are not as easy to adjust, and they are too short compared to previous 992's and the insert on the left shoe is not as comfortable on the inside. Buy them at a store.

I have always liked the 990 series, but recently, they have stopped making them in "all black" for some reason. These are great shoes, but expensive. The fact they are made in the USA is "one" of the primary reasons for purchasing them. This had a major impact on my purchase, but not the only reason. They are very comfortable. I do a lot of walking (15K steps a day) in my line of work, so I need a shoe I can depend on, and these fit the bill perfectly.My only gripe, that needs to seriously be addressed by New Balance, is the fact they have stopped making them in all black. Again, in my line of work, It is required that we wear black shoes (it looks more professional with our uniforms), and any reflective silver or grey insignias look out of place. Recently, I had not choice but to purchase the black/silver combination of the 990 V5, as the all black version is not currently being sold. I really like the 990 series (on my 4th purchase), but If I cannot purchase the all black series on my next time around (approx next year), i will, sadly, have to look elsewhere, which probably means a shoes made in China.Highly recommended!! New Balance, Please reintroduce the "All black" 990

Compre NB porque son tenis de muy buena calidad y un comfort para mis pies.

Me quedo 2 cm grande. Y como es proveedor americano no devuelven todo, inicie el proceso de devolución y me retornaran solo 3,500 pesos :( OJO
