These are bright. I wanted them for an ambiance light above our kitchen cabinets. We have dimming can lights already through the kitchen so I hooked these up in the same circuit. They were too bright. If the brightest was about as bright as the dimmest setting, it would have worked in our situation.

I went out on a limb with this product as I couldn't really find any reviews about it beforehand. For my particular application, I wanted to have the LED's being protected by plastic (being incased) as for easy cleaning. And these rope lights do fit that bill. They are surrounded by heavy plastic.As for the product quality, only time will tell, but, so far so good.The only drawback I found with these lights, are, instructions describe you'll be able to cut them - to size - only about every 18 inches or so; no shorter intervals. So this may ask you for compromises in your lighting project. Also you need to find a dimmer switch, which will turn them down (all the way) even in the "off position". (A "common" problem with LED lights). The Cooper Wiring Devices DI06P did it finally in my case. (Didn't work with L**ron- & L***ton-dimmers).

Update Dec 2017:One of the two strips has failed; about half the LEDs are out after 2 years. Even using the most conservative estimates they should’ve lasted at least 5-10. Unfortunately the warranty is only good for a year, but the seller was kind enough to offer me a discount on a replacement.Original review ~Dec 2015 (5 stars):I bought two of these to replace different LED strips whose 12V power supplies both failed. I like having everything in one piece instead of a separate transformer. These are probably overkill for my needs -- I put them up above my mother's kitchen cabinets -- but so far they're great. Warm white color temperature seems reasonable, and they're plenty bright for her.

I added two 16 foot strings wanting to attach them to some very nice wood crown molding and was concerned whether it would look “ cheesy “ or not be able to the string it perfectly straight. Bottom line the clear strip that the lights are in, you virtually can not see and the light it gives off is a “warm incandescent look, very pleased with the look and ease of installing. (Only down side is my wife likes the look so much, she now is finding all kinds of places in the house that she wants me to install more ;-)

Great light. Our 16-footer was defective and the first 3 feet stopped working as soon as I uncoiled it. Replaced by Amazon, no problem. All other CBConcept rope lights we bought (8) worked fine. Very Nice.

I used these in a custom cove light. Worked perfectly and the color was very good.

I've used these LED strips in several projects, and they are great. They bend easy, attach well, and are very bright. I've connected them to a DMX dimmer pack for dimming functions, and they work very very well. Great buy at a great price!

It says it can be cut down at certain intervals. When I received it, I needed to trim off the interval per the advertisement, and there is a note in the box that says it cannot be cut. The ends are molded on and have fasteners also. Therefore, if I tried to shorten the length, I would not be able to seal the end again. They did kindly give a full refund. But, please be aware of the fact that the length you order is the length you end up with, and no modifications permitted.

Ordered four of these and mounted them on top of three wood beams to provide indirect light. Amazing results. Warm white is a touch cooler (about 3000K, not 2700K) but is wonderful none the less. Great value and fast shipping.
