For those who are serious about Purposeful Practice.
I have tried other swing training devices but returned all the others. Thanks Amazon! This one is a keeper however. I use it with iPhone 6+, I'm a single digit handicap (8.6 index), and I want to work on tempo, shaft lean at impact, and angle of attack. Swing speed with a driver is 98-102, I'm 69 years old and still working so I don't get enough time to work on my game. The two hours at the range on my home course on Saturday is my only practice now and quite valuable to me. I have had sessions on FlightScope and TrackMan at the PGA Tour Academy and I tested my Swing Speed Tempo Timer (doppler radar) on TrackMan and it's swing speed was consistently 2-4 MPH off. Not bad for $150 vs $25,000. Other swing training devices were 10-15 MPH off and were unreliable, attack angle and shaft lean were not repeatable and thus unbelievable. I was not expecting Swingbyte to be much better and thought I would have to periodically hand over $150 to get measured on TrackMan again. To my surprise, the swing speed was consistently within 0-4 MPH, compared to my radar device. "The first three were identical" (probably a fluke). Angle of attack, shaft lean at impact may not be accurate, but they are reproducible, indicating it is giving me something with which to work. One feature I love is the "groove mode". If you are working on one thing, like shaft lean at impact, you can set the parameters (such as -1* to -8*) then hit hit a number of balls and see how many were in your target range. While TrackMan and FlightScope will occasionally give you goofy numbers, they are the best we have at the moment. Swingbyte 2 will occasionally give you goofy numbers as well, but most are reliable and for about $100, I don't think you will find a better value, or a better device. I needed to contact support and they were prompt with an email response and answered my questions. One thing you need to know, especially after you change clubs, Swingbyte needs 1 second of no motion at address or the club won't register a swing. I tend to have waggles, tap the ground and try never to be static, I had to learn to add 1 sec with no motion for Swingbyte to work. Good luck and I will update my data the next time I get on TrackMan.

Swingbyte 2 Review
I watched all the videos I could find about this device before I decided to drop $150 on it. I'm a college student currently shooting in the low 90's trying to get better; I can't afford lessons so I thought this would be a good way for me to have my own sort of trackman machine like they have at local driving ranges.I downloaded the software to a Galaxy tablet; connecting the software to the device was smooth and the interface works very well, however the same software downloaded to my Galaxy S4 phone must have been an older version or something (right when I bought this device in April 2014 they came out with new software for Android which I have downloaded) because it did not work at all and the interface on the phone looks very different from the software that actually works on the tablet. So if you have an android tablet you should be fine here, I have no experience with the Apple version of the app. Some critical parts on this thing seem pretty cheaply built. I have hit around 150 balls with it clipped to the shafts of various clubs, and the plastic around the clip is already cracking. It has a 30 day return policy from Amazon and from the Swingbyte website, so I can't do that anymore, but the Swingbyte company has a 365 day warranty that I am trying to get. So far the customer service from swingbyte has been good, I'll update this review once I'm done with the warranty exchange and see if the replacement device has similar issues to my current one. I swing my driver 105mph on average (if I keep it in play I'll hit between 230 and 300 yard drives) according to the swingbyte device and swing my irons between 70 and 80mph. When I hit the ball off the hossle or skull it, the device usually rattles loose and it slides down the shaft. This is likely the reason my device is breaking. The device fits pretty tight around the top of the shaft, but will probably slide down and fall off after about 10 swings: it is difficult to explain this in text but the clip holding the elastic in place is a real P.O.S. and spring opens often when the ball is not struck cleanly. Once this clip pops open, the elastic loosens up and the device will fall down the club on the next swing. To fix this, I put a thick rubber band around it which solved the problem until I found that the plastic was cracking. In terms of recording swings, it gave me some great data especially in regard to casting the club slightly at the top and having a different plane in my backswing versus my downswing. Seeing the 3-D representation was eye opening for me and got me changing several things wrong with my swing. When this thing works, it IS really helpful, there's no denying that! If you hit the dirt (or sweep the mat) pretty much at all before you strike the ball, which I have a real problem with, the swing will not register about 4 times out of 5 which is frustrating, not that you'd want to see the analysis of those swings anyway...but you get the pointAlso, the battery holds more than enough charge for a few range sessions which is nice.Updated 9/10/2014Should've updated this review awhile ago, my b. Swingbyte customer service is awesome, they sent me a new device which performs much better than the old one. No cracking problems after about 500 hits. The new device doesn't have as much of a problem with not registering swings, I'm guessing the problems I mentioned above about sweeping the ground/dirt had something to do with the cracked plastic and looser fit on the shaft resulting in sensors not registering enough force upon impact. This device has turned into something I'll use once a week or once a month for around 20-30 swings to see how I'm progressing.
