Buy when on sale
I bought when they were 89.99. And that's a steal. I was very happy with price and quality. I use them to fix foundation's in Florida. Work very well

The jack seems strong and functional. It is a cast iron body with square machine threads and rotating nuckle at the top. Seems like a quality tool as far as imports go. I wouldn't expect it to hold up to abuse. The bottom has a hole so you can see the screw rotating in the base. See the attached image for manufacturer's manual page with dimensions, heights, travel and capacities for the different models.

Backup Jack for Truck
I use this as a backup jack for working on my pickup truck. I use the typical truck jack stand but do not trust my life on just one stand. I feel much better with a backup under the car. I prefer this to using two typical jack stands because like most jack stands they have only about 7 positions and it is not possible to get the second stand to sit right up to the frame. Usually it would be 1-2 inches lower. And if the main stand failed, that would be a lot of weight to drop 2 inches onto another stand. I feel the second stand would collapse due to the sudden weight. Now using this stand, I screw it right up to the frame and it fits snug. If the primary jack stand fails this one will surely hold the truck up without a sudden drop. This stand fits perfect under a Chevy Avalanche with the frame raised high enough to remove the wheel. The quality of the stand is sufficient to convince me it would easily hold up the Avalanche. The weight of the screw jack is not bad, easy to move around using the built in handle.
