Stainless Steel Water Distiller Purifier - Pure Water

Update.......I returned the distiller I never could get rid of the smell. Verdict is still out. I've now run 5 pots of water through the system and can't get better than .015 TDS. Additionally, the water has a faint taste and smell of burnt electrical wiring when put in your mouth. I will continue to run water through it in hopes that it just needs to be cleaned out. Its actually a solid little machine and appears to be well constructed. I want to like it but if I can't get better readings I will have to return it.

Less than a year in and it is shutting itself off after an hour. Contacted the seller with no response. DO NOT BUY if it becomes available again!

Today July 31 2015, the item arrived(excellent delivery by Amazon!) and I opened it to examine how good the item is. The inside of the little spout where the distilled/pured water to be collected before it enter the glass jar(excellent glass jar!) is terrible. It have dust metal and I can tell by using my finger and scraping it out. Very bad. THat stuff is cancer. After you take that spout out and the little charcoal filter bag, there the rubber elbow connecting to the condenser pipe. That rubber elbow should never be use because the distilled water/vapor is hot. Terrible idea here too. Also the condenser pipe is not stainless steel as the website mentioned. Rather, I think it aluminum. Those are the points why I have to return the item immediately.EDIT as of 9/1/2015: I found out through Youtube video of a guy disassemble the Megahome water distiller and they have the tiny rubber/plastic tubing connecting to the aluminum or stainless steel(i cant tell) fin condenser tube, which is similar to A Product water distiller and all other water distiller because they seem to be made very similar to each other. So I apologize for that negative rating. Also it seem like the dust metal in the rectangular spout need a quick simple cleaning with soap so I should rate so negative for that. However I felt that the spout metal inside might not be genuine stainless steel. I will be buying this exact same model soon and try it out. Last time, i didnt try at all. Just open and return.

worked great until it started shutting itself off after 1 hour a few days ago.of course after the time limit for return or replacement ran out.sucks

worked for about 1 - 2 years. Then stainless container developed leak on bottom, also heating element separated from stainless steel (low quality stainless), internal screws and fittings are mild steel, hence fittings all bind up with corrosion making it impossible to service, looks nice but sadly poor Chinese copy of an old Japanese design.
