I use the Soft Taupe palette for both day and evening looks. The colors are saturated, blendable, and long lasting. The dark brown color is fabulous to smudge along the lash line and to fill in my eyebrows (which tend to be fair and sparse). The lightest color is great for providing a highlight under my brow. The two mid-tones are also wonderful. Three of the colors are matte and one has a little frost but not so much that I can't wear it (although it is the color that I always have the most left of when it is time to open a new one). I prefer it to my more expensive palettes (Urban Decay Naked, Estee Lauder, etc.) so at $10 it is a steal!

I already own and wear these color combinations and wanted another one.

Well, first of all, I received 2 Eye Shadows instead of one for only 3 dollars which was awesome (and I still don't know why it was two!). I am a big fan of Neutrogena brand since 6 years ago when I used its hand creme and it cured my eczema completely! Since then, I got so many things from this brand and they all worked very well and kept my skin healthy. This Eye Shadow is an awesome product as well. It stays for hours without any change, and the colors are so natural and amazing. The only problem: I ordered Soft Taupe and expected it to be a little brownish like how the photos show, but it was totally in grey category.

I have semi-hooded eyelids and sensitive skin, so my eyeshadow needs to be able to stay all day and not irritate my skin. This does the trick! First eyeshadow I've ever used that didn't turn into a complete oil slick by the end of the day. After an eight to ten hour day, it looks exactly like it did at the beginning of the day. I've been experimenting with contouring my brow bone with this palate (I ordered it in taupe) to de-emphasize my round/prominent eyes, and I'm really liking the results. Also, for some reason I received two palates instead of the one I was expecting, so that was an un-expected bonus!

Let me start off by saying that I like Neutrogena eye shadow (I use mink brown every day, 5/5 for that one), but I was looking for something a bit more neutral as Mink Brown is a little bronze. I thought Soft Taupe would be great, but I was disappointed. The browbone color is very light and flat, and the rest of the colors are ok but trend gray-blue. The darkest color that goes towards the outer lid is nearly straight up navy. Blended together, it looks patchy and muddy. Maybe I'm too pale, but Soft Taupe is just not my color palette. I will continue my quest for the perfect taupe-y brown palette (not too pink, not too blue).

I am 62 and really like this eye shadow because it is very natural and makes my eye color pop out. The one color on the pallet looks pink but it is off white. I still use an eye primer because I think it makes the color show a little more.

It was protected on both sides and arrived in great shape

Do Disappointed in this product, it is like a powder rather than an eye shadow. It spills onto my white counter top and does not stay on the upper eyelid. they need to improve the product.
