Wow. Interesting and new ideas on old thoughts. Worth the read. Can't say I agreed with her but her view was interesting.

Cover torn in multiple places, lots and lots of underlining and margin notes. Otherwise, service/delivery speed ok.

Smart book. I found her analysis fascinating.

If you purchase this book, just know that you are getting years of scholarship in one volumn. The book will challenge your assumptions about the 19th century, the relationships between woman, the rise of feminism, the New Woman. A great read for our current era of silly Gender Identity Theory. If you claim to be a scholar of gender or feminism and have not read this book, think again. I bought my copy for $1 at a thrift store, but I would by it for full price.

The article didn't arrive by the last date provided and it's impossible to track.Since I badly need this book for university, I am rather disappointed.
