Simple drinker, no spilling, heavy duty
I love this drinker. It is easy to fill and clean. The bottom fits tightly so I have never had a water mess after filling it. Note: If you use it on a slope, make sure the water drain hole is on the downhill side otherwise the water will continue to flow and run out the downhill edge of the drinker until it is empty.

Works great
I am back to buy a second. I suggest having two. I plan to let one soak and clean and then switch them so the chickens always have clean fresh water.

Excellent - I use it for birds - Does not get bacteria - slime like others
I have used these for 10 months now.I found these in my search for water feeders which do not get algae, slimy or are just difficult to clean. I have had no issues with this.I use 2 for small birds (pigeons take over any bird fountain I use). I hang it from a tree limb and from a bird feeder hanger post near my bird feeders. The little birds love it. If they drop too much seed into it, it's easy to tip, drain the seedy water from the base and tip it back upright. I have also left them out during the winter and they freeze but do not crack (in the winter I only fill them half way to allow expansion when frozen). I am now buying another one for my Mom's garden.Note to the sellers: I had trouble finding this again due to the title, even in my search thru my own orders. Too bad the title does not include chicken or water.

Good tight fit
Works well, I'd buy again when I need to. These drinkers last about 2 years before they crack from use. I fill mine twice a day.

Bebedero de aguas para aves de corral
El producto es bueno y aparenta ser fuerte y duradero, pero da un poco de trabajo al cerrar el bebedero.

Screwing the bottom onto the top is a nightmare. Filing the leading edge of the water tank helps.

Good for the money.
My main issue is that there are a couple 'bumps' sticking out from the top part of the container which make it a little hard to clean, if one is trying to get feathers and feces off the outside. Otherwise, it seems solid after some months. It does a good job of not dumping out 'all' the water when it gets just slightly off-center like another waterer I had in the past. (Of course, it isn't spillproof if you tip it over too far, the water will then all drain out). But that's expected given the design. Good overall.

Good quality item
Large enough to supply water for a decent amount of time. Good quality plastics used.

Not very reliable
At times I put it on a surface (vs. hanging it) it sometimes leaks. Never leaked hanging though. But then there is another problem when hanging it: it is good as long as there is plenty of water in it and it's heavy, but when the water level goes below a certain mark (I'd say 3/4th empty), this happened a couple of times: chickens hit it and it just slightly swings to the side, which shouldn't be a problem (and it isn't a problem when it is heavy enough; it swings a few times and stops at a straight position), but sometimes it stops not at a straight position but rather to a side such that the side with the hole is up, making it keep emitting water which is simply being poured down from the opposite side to the ground.Short story: keep it always half full or more.

A good size for a flock of two dozen
We use this for our backyard flock of two dozen meat chickens. When the chickens are full grown, we seem to be filling this daily, so we bought a second to ensure they have enough water during the summer. Approximately 6-8 full grown chickens are able to drink from this simultaneously.Placing this on the ground means it will get dirty - shavings and even chicken poop will get into the trough. We check it before leaving in the morning, upon getting home, and before bed to see if it needs a refill or just a quick tip to dump out debris. We have not tried hanging this as we don't have a ready-made structure that would support the weight well, but that would help with the cleanliness.I removed a star for three minor reasons:1. It's quite heavy to carry back and forth once filled up (this is not a design flaw - just not great for my set up);2. When you turn it right side up after filling it, some will splash out; and3. If you don't hang it, you must get it on quite level ground or it will all leak out. We hadn't realized this early on and though it was defective.

Perfect size for my tiny flock
I have been using this size for my three egg-layers. In the spring/early summer weather in Eastern Ontario, I have to fill it about every two days. I hang it, which keeps it pretty clear of debris, and the chickens understand it. I will have to come up with a new system when we get into the sub-zero temperatures.

Missing bottom green piece
I ordered this. Received only the top white piece. I messaged Amazon and was told that they didn’t have any bottom pieces and that I could return the top piece. In the meantime my husband through it out because he thought it was just garbage....out $35 bucks and not very happy.
