Great fun for all kids (and adults)
Used by both my daughters (4 & 7) to make rather lovely shapes that only children can make. It dries to a light grey colour. I leave it overnight before painting ... it feels dry quite quickly and the children want to paint almost immediately, but it won't have set all the way through and they'll end up wrecking their creation. It's a messy task so aprons and old clothes. I have an A2 sized piece of plywood that works well as a surface. Old play-doh moulds and tools are quite useful. The clay is tightly bound in a plastic membrane and a foil package (quite difficult to get the clay out). I tend to cut the packet carefully and then roll the top over and keep it closed with a clothes peg. I would not suggest just putting it in an air-tight container unless it's quite a tight fit inside; otherwise the trapped air will harden the clay over time. Close wrapping in cling film first seem to work though.Anyway. I have to buy more soon ... and some paint!

Air drying clay
Simply put this is air drying clay. It is easy for children to make into whatever they want and then when it is left out to dry, for a day or so, it is hard enough that they can then paint it. You get 4lb of the stuff which has been enough to keep my two children busy with it since Christmas - they have made a couple of bigish things with it each and we still have lots left. It is quite difficult for small children to actually get it out of the packaging so it will probably involve some parental involvement, and they will get it everywhere if not supervised. It does dry out, but can be a swine to get out of clothes if simply left (lots of soaking has worked for us).You will need to think about where you are going to store it, as it dries out, so make sure you have a large airtight plastic box to store it in after people ave finished playing with it.It's good fun for people who like playdo, but want to make something more permament.

Good price good product
I brought this for my messy play box to keep little ones amused on rainy days they love it. It's quite tough to mould so not really suitable of younger ones though my 5 year uses it well. For my 2 yr old I roll it out and she uses rubber stamps to make prints. Paints well when dry we haven't had anything crack/break yet during the drying process.Easy to clean up after we use it at the kitchen table the. Wipe the powdery residue off straight after we have finished playing with a damp soapy cloth.

easy to use and can make anything
it’s great the clay is easy to use and you can make anything out of. when it dried you could see small strings which i think is part of the clay but it was gone one i painted it.

A bargain
Decent size and weight and plenty to use for very reasonable price (less than 2 pound). Plenty for my children to play with. My only criticism is it easily/quickly dry up during modelling. I keep adding small amount of water to keep it smooth and prevent the other common problem mentioned by other customer (crack during drying up). It dries to grey colour. But for such a cheap price, I will not complained. Will I buy it again.. yes. but just as children play thing but not if I want to produce something decent.

Good
The colour was darker than I thought it would be although it makes no real difference when it's painted. Try to keep any sculptures big as the small bits feel off of ours when they were dry. Overall, we were happy with the produce, the kids enjoyed playing with it and I was pleased with how much there was in the pack.

Great fun!
Bought this to use at my children's craft class age 5-11 yrs. They all managed pretty well and came up with a variety of creations. In order to 'stick' pieces of clay together you really need to use water to blend and bind them which can be a bit messy but who cares! They thought it was great fun. Once made the models dried quite quickly and could probably have been painted the next day although we didn't meet again until the following week. We used glitter poster paint to decorate and they all looked really good.
