Living Victoriously in Difficult Times (40-Minute Bible Studies)

I am leading a study with this right now and it has been so good! The 40 minute studies are perfect for the busy working person. It gives you a taste of an inductive study, but it is no way near as intense nor does it require two hours a day or more of study. Preparation beforehand (except for the leader) is not necessary for it is designed to be done together. However, I have found it does go better if everyone at least reads through the Scriptures and looks for the key words in advance. for those who choose to do that it doesn't take too much outside of class time for those who feel stretched thin already. I prefer to do it that way, because the discussions are so much richer when everyone has had time to chew on what they read and perhaps even start to apply it to their daily circumstances. I have found that the last half of the book had so much information that we ended up discussing half one week and the other half the next. I have done several of her 40 minute studies and all of them have been good. This one in particular helps you to have the right perspective on life, acknowledges that we all will at one time or another suffer, that our suffering should be for the right reasons not our own sin, and that our hope is not that it will end here (though it might), but our hope is our future hope in heaven. No matter your circumstances, no matter how hard they may get, you always have hope! For those in the group who were not facing hard things now, they found the study to be helpful for their loved ones who were, and for themselves when they do face it in the future.

NOW IS THE TIME! You will be encouraged like crazy reading this study! Such awesome “insight” sections, really important scriptures for such a time as this and truly all about the word of God. No fluff, just facts. Love a good Kay Arthur (and homies) study

This is an excellent study. Our Bible study group used it in a more conventional way with homework each week. I can’t honestly see how anyone could go thru a week in 40 min. It’s so rich! The more time you invest the more you get out of it!

This is a really good book to work through. It is suppose to fall into the "40 minute study" category although we worked through it as a group and we have done several of these studies in the past and allotted 60 min but for this one, we had to extend our meeting time another 20 minutes or so. It is so good and lots to talk about!

I am presently halfway through leading a Bible study using Living Victoriously in Difficult Times. I appreciate the structure of the book with the scriptural texts printed at the side margins and the Insight boxes that share information about the texts and the translations from the original languages. One issue, though the study claims to be structured for 40-minute sessions, each chapter contains enough material and questions for discussion to easily take each session over one hour.

This book is part of a series of books designed to be useful for anyone, even those brand new to the Bible. Living victoriously in difficult times guides the reader through relevant Bible passages, allowing them to see God's truth for themselves. We all want to live a victorious life, but tough times can drag us down unless they are handled with the proper perspective. The take home message is that trials will happen in live, but you can emerge victoriously from them.

The Precepts Ministries Bible Studies are the best available. The main reason is that it is Scripture upon Scripture. Not a popular speaker. Not a new technology. Bible based Bible study. So this is a great Bible study for any Christian who wants to understand more clearly what God says in His Word. There are other Precept Ministries Bible Studies that I have done before and I love those too. Thank you for offering these Amazon. God bless.
