White Lines
I got this book on April 24th and finished it the next morning. It was a good read. I like Tracy Brown's writing because she has always had a good story line, not just a book laced with sex and drugs. In this story I found myself disliking Sunny. Shes the girl everyone knows and feels sorry for, in the worst ways. Shes the girl acting as if shes more than what she really is, and the thought of her telling her child she did cocaine but crack is worse, just kind of bothered me. Baby at the end of the day, you did hard drugs, what kind u did or how u took it doesnt matter. Theres no justifying. Anyways, I found myself more interested and routing more for Jada and Ava. Sheldon's actions bothered me alot and I hated the way Jada justified them and pacified him because she couldnt forgive herself for her past. She shouldve not only been honest with Sheldon but she shouldve also never put his father down, what sheldon thougjt about Jamari was his business and just giving the bad info made it seem like shed already decided how she wanted him to feel. I feel like Born was selfish, he shouldve stuck by Jada and commanded that role as Sheldons father figure. A man should automatically step in and do that, a woman should never have to ask. Had he been more of a father figure from the start of their relationship, Sheldon never wouldve felt that big of a void from his biological father.I can tell Tracy's coming back with another one by the way she left everything up in the air. I will say that Sunny got what she deserved, you dont turn your back on a good friend and you certainly dont risk EVERYTHING for something that will do u more harm than good. I was glad to know Gillian and Frankie werent still together, in a way im glad Zion and Olivia are splitting, she made no effort to change WITH him. You cant change in a relationship and expect the person you're with to automatically jump to the next thing too. A better woman will make a better man, but not when one party is selfishly focusing on something thats only benefical to them. There has to be collaboration.I cant wait for the next installment and I hope Sunny gets to see what its really like being at rock bottom and for Jada to beat the hell outta Sheldon one goid time and stop pacifying him for her past sins. Ava needs to gone ahead andHelp make Zion a better man.

My Favorite Couple are Back
Although, I'm displeased that it ended abruptly, White Lines II still remains a refreshing read. I will forever, and a day, root for both Born and Jada. Above all, their love and admiration for one another has stood the test of time.Jada's emotional state regarding her son, Sheldon, was brilliantly executed. I can't imagine staring into the eyes of my child while loathing it's father. Jada's strength is amazing. After all of the obstacles blocking Jada's blessings, she's still standing tall, flaws and all.The reintroduction of Lamin, Olivia and Zion from another favorite read, Criminal Minded, was enjoyable as well.On the flip side, I'm truly disappointed in Sunny's behavior. I assumed she was strong-willed and over her previous lifestyle. I wonder if she'll ever realize that her addiction isn't worth losing the respect of those who love her. Thankfully, the life of an addict is something many of us will never understand. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a timely release of the third installment. Who knows? Perhaps the author will release a sequel to Criminal Minded and magnificently wrap up the storylines of ALL my favorite characters (hint).Favorite Character:JadaLeast Favorite Character:SunnyWhat is your most memorable aspect of White Lines 2?Jada's decision to leave Born in order to build a healthy and loving relationship with Sheldon. What is your least memorable aspect of White Lines 2?Sunny's relapse and that fact that she never admitted to battling a severe disease.Which character, if any, has transformed for the better?I feel that all of the main characters are still evolving.Which character, if any, has transformed for the worse? Most certainly, Ava. I don't recall her being pathetic in the first installment. I was surprised that she pined over Malcolm for so long.Final Rating: 4 stars

EXCELLENT READ
I enjoyed reading "White Lines II: Sunny". This book is the sequel to "White Lines", which told the story of Jada, Sunny, Born and Dorian, as the main characters. I liked the way Ms. Brown introduced the readers to Sunny's and Jada's life, years later. They both had changed their lifestyles for the better, as we are re-introduced to them. They both seemed to be doing great in the beginning of the book, but as time goes on, they both encouter some challanges, and some of which result back to their days of drug use and being in the roles of a "Wifey". Sunny yields to the temptation again, of the white substance, which is one of the reasons, her one and true love Dorian was killed. She has met a new beau, Malcom, who has truly fallen in love with her, but due to her temptation again, he is involved in as much danger as she is by the end of the book. Jada has reconnected with Born again, after all of their previous hard aches, pain, and mistrusts, which resulted in both of them having children with people they did not truly love. Jada's son, Shelton, is truly a Bad Seed from his father's DNA, who was killed, and one of Born's rivals. Shelton causes so much mental and physical pain in this book, that Jada might have to put her true love, Born on the back burner, until she can deal with Sheldon's mental issues. There is definitely a Book 3 in the works, based on the ending of the book. I just hope that Ms. Brown is working on Book 3 now, and it will be forthcoming sooner than later. Ms. Brown, please keep writing your stories in your voice and I will keep purchasing your books, and telling others about your books.

Just read I really enjoyed this
Well, it's 2am I just finished reading, this author's ability to story tell is outstanding! I read this straight after part 1, and will read part 3 too. Interesting characters, gripping storylines, and reality that at times brought tears to my eyes. Loved it.

Nice, bring on part 3
I am a huge Tracy Brown fan and I, like many others, was eagerly anticipating the follow up to White Lines 1.I can understand some of the mixed feedback for this. The ending is how you would end a chapter not a book and really leaves you hanging. Also White Lines 1 is such an unexpected classic the expectations for the sequel were high. However, for me, Tracy Brown continues her superb and unique writing ability to really draw you into the characters, they almost jump off the page. For me, it continues the theme of White Lines 1, where you nobody ultimately triumphs in the drug game, but it extrapolates that to illustrate that no-one has it all. Sunny should be so happy, but all the great things in her life aren't enough to keep her content. Ava has beaten the odds to become a successful lawyer but struggles to find someone to love her. What is also good is the way Tracy develops Sheldon's character. She really makes you see through his eyes: a young boy with no father, struggling with conveying his emotions, partly due to the effects of his mother taking drugs, but without justifying his often inexcusable behaviour. And in true Tracy Brown fashin, the book is full of unexpected twists.I really can't wait for Part 3

Just ok
Was an ok read...not brilliant. The storyline was not as gripping as the 1st book in the series and now it seems there will be a third. I would not have said the ending was cliffhanger enough for me to want to read a third book. And I also find it boring to have to read about what designer clothing people have on.

Not as good as the first
I like that the characters deletions from the first book and was happy to delv into Sunny's not so glam life. Again I was left wanting more when it ended. If you've read the first then this is an obvious sequel to get into. However, it can't beat "White Lines'" grittiness
