Harry Potter Broom Stick

An excellent costume accessory or toy
I recently bought this for my daughter. Its going to be a birthday present so she hasn't seen it yet, but I can tell just by looking and holding it that it is pretty sturdy. It will certainly be able to withstand her running around with it between her legs for a while. It looks nice and has nice details on it, including the magic symbols carved onto the handle, which if you look online match the ones on Harry's Nimbus 2000 in the movies. The only thing that falls short is the actual bristles. They are not really shaped correctly to resemble the brooms in the movies. They are the only part of the broom that doesn't look great. You can see what I mean by looking at the picture closely.

Perfect for your HP lover
I bought 2 of these for Christmas gifts last year for my kids (ages 9 and 11). They are avid Potter fans and these are a great prop for their play. The quality exceeded my expectations, as did the price. This would be a great Halloween prop too. I have paid much more for much less in the Harry Potter merchandising world, and would recommend these.

Bit dusty, but still great!
I got it for a friend's birthday and he loved it. My only bicker about it is its overall quality. The plastic is light, the broom part is a few strings of plastic, and it's shorter than expected. However, the shape and look of this broom is amazing. He hung it up on his wall and it looks so cool. Excellent gift for a Harry Potter fan. But just be aware it's not made of wood or anything like that. It's a toy

This was a major hit!
I had read some reviews about broken product etc but having a 6 year old with an obsession of everything Potter; I had to get him this regardless. And let me say it is the most sought after possession in the neighborhood and has withstood anything a boy and his buds can do to it. Trampoline Quidditch flying. Broom ball with it being the broom. Throwing it [making it fly] between neighbors fences. And it has withstood it all; to the point those witnessing kept telling me "you better give this a majorly great review." So I have. will buy again for the 8 year old sibling. Oh yea. It survived major tug of wars too.

Cheaply made and uneven stirrups
In person, this doesn't even resemble a broom. The top half of the bristles are one solid painted plastic mass, and the bottom part of the bristles are in circular bunches with large gaps in-between. The stirrups are uneven, which will bug me no end, but since my daughter already ripped the label off, we're stuck with it. The plastic handle is hollow and so cheap that I'm afraid the slightest touch will bend it. About all I can see this could be useful for is to hang in a corner somewhere, since the bristles won't even support it's weight if you try to prop it up in a corner and if the kids play with it, it will probably break within an hour.

... or be solid wood with real bristles or look like a $100 collectors item
My daughter was thrilled with this - we read all of the reviews and certainly did not expect for it to fly or be solid wood with real bristles or look like a $100 collectors item. I think sometimes people have way too high expectations for a $15 item. It is however great for a kid's collection of Ollivander's wands, quiddich ball, figurines, sorcerer's stones, etc. Looks great with all of her fan items.

Small
Broom looks great but is on the smaller side. Would be great for toddler but definitely not for older kids.

So much FUN
I have done a few reviews on Harry Potter Items...it is all that is going on within our family lately. My 9 year old LOVES Harry Potter and just loves anything that brings the wizarding world to our home. So..when I bought this I wasn't sure what to expect...and what I got he loves. It's mostly plastic and I chuckle in that I don't think you could sweep too well with this -- but perhaps you could fly on it all the same. I think the point is this - my son loves it and the cost was not so crazy that I felt ridiculous buying something that was just for fun..
