Pet Sematary 2019

Have been a Stephen King fan for decades...not so much the movies derived from his written works, however. The original movie treatment of the Pet Sematary was almost laughable, IMHO. The characters weren't believable, and somehow, a 2 yr old on a murderous rampage seemed quite plausible in print, but not so much on the big screen. The only character worth the price of admission was Fred Gwynne as Jud Crandall. Well, the script writers knew what to do [SPOILER ALERT] in this remake by turning the horror over to the older daughter instead of the younger son. All of the actors involved turn in spectacular performances, and John Lithgow puts his own credible mark on the Jud character. I know there are many who think the original film was the best, I just don't happen to be one of them. As for the disc itself, the audio & video quality are great on this Blu Ray.

Good movie, but liked the original better.

This movie is wonderfully bleak and horrifying. Always been one of my favorite SK books. My mom pulled me out of school early one day for a surprise matinee of the original movie and I loved it! I was ten and it was my first horror movie on the big screen. I watched the new one from a sense of loyalty, ready to defend it no matter what I actually thought. But this movie stands on its own. The deep, unsettling horror is still there but this time they highlight that the the dead don't just come back 'wrong', they come back with something else inside. Leaves you wondering if you would keep making the wrong choices that snowballs this family to hell.

This film was just ok. I liked the changes once it got going but honestly found the first 45 min kind of boring. I ended up letting my older son watch it with me ( something I was on the fence about ) but turns out it wasn't all that scary or even gory. More creepy than anything.I'm regretting buying it. I thought for sure I had to add it to my SK collection but now that I've seen it, I know I can live without it and prolly wont watch it again, or very much anyway. Good acting, and a definite creep factor give it 3 stars, but I'd rather give it 2.5 for disappointing me

From the novel by Stephen King, a doctor and his family move to a small town in Maine after moving from Boston by starting their life anew, but things take a horrifying turn when an accident causes the father to bury his daughter in a cemetery that brings things back from beyond, but will have to pay the consequences for his own actions.

I apppreciate the twist and everything they did in this new adaptation. It was still very effective and scary! It really went to some dark places I loved it! I recommend everyone watch this movie with an open mind. Don’t watch it expecting it to be just like the 1989 version.

Llegó súper rápido, en muy buen estado y con el slip cover. Los extras son muy buenos y también contiene copia digital. Lo conseguí a muy buen precio y fue la primera compra que hice con Amazon Prime, cuyo servicio hasta ahora me tiene satisfecho.
